NUFC want YOU to 'Have Your Say'!

The stairways and concourses are grey and lifeless.

How about some inspirational photos of NUFC past and present.  Paintings or murals from local artists.

Love to see life size pictures of the likes of Gallagher, Milburn, Beardsley, Burridge!!

Or even a lick of paint would do.

To NUFC,

Please review the actions of the over zealous and vindictive stewarding that is going on in the 7th level at the Sir John Hall stand week in and week out.  The enjoyment of the game is being ruined by stewards telling fans to sit down and preventing them from celebrating, they are rude and when surrounded by the police treat all fans like criminals.

Their actions are really ruining the atmosphere at the game and provoke anger from the fans.

I would like to strongly emphasise this point.

'Do You Want An Atmosphere' has been belted out by the Toon Ultras at the last two home games as a result of over-zealous stewarding. I am sure you are all aware of this.

London season ticket is worst idea i've ever heard. I live in london but would hate to think people are getting tickets before people from up North just because they have a season ticket like that. Away season ticket i'm all for if people go to every away game and they would need to be allocated based on loyalty points already.

Totally agree with that and I live in London as well.

it wouldn't be every single ticket man, you could sell, say 500 or 1000 London season tickets and still have the same number of tickets available for geordies if we take more than the minimum like we have been doing.

Exiled fan here, so the main thing I'll say is that Premier TV should not be allowed to do the website in the future.  I don't think any of the current top 4 clubs use them. They're okay for a Championship team, but not for us.

According to that toon finances website, the Toon get more money in gate receipts than from TV. Maybe that's not the case due to the new deal this year, but I think this means that the club should be more sensitive to attending fans than other clubs.  What this means is improving the matchday experience (see suggestions above) and generally not dicking fans about. I know we're not in Europe this year, but when we were, the club was happy for tv to move games all over the shop, leaving fans no way to attend.  The club should also remember that Toon away fans have to travel further than anyone else over the season.

The club has the right idea with the free cup tickets for early buyers, but if we do get into the UEFA Cup again, lower the prices in the early rounds or get some schoolkids in.  More support and encouragement for local youth teams would also be great.

Just to add my two cents in dropping crappy Premier TV and getting someone who is capable of creating a good Newcastle website.

Agree with vending machines, also maybe a few more cash points in fact why not a cash point next to the food I know I'd buy more from them if they were there.

I agree with the vending machines saves having to stand for hours when all you want is an over priced bottle of coke.

Would also like to see the stairs with paintings or pictures of players all the way down them. I don't use the stairs now but when I did they were horrible.

More staff to serve is also a must. I also like the idea of a bottles section which could be for alcohol and soft drinks.

More staff for the food and drink

Newcastle Tv would be brilliant, showing reserve games, friendlies - everything Newcastle obviously  ;D

Open training session a month would be nice

Im not sure an away season ticket is a good idea at all. I know a few people, really vocal people too, who wouldnt bother with a home season ticket if they could just buy an away one.

Get the seating arrangements sorted out at SJP for ST Holders. How many would like to change seat to where their mates are, how many want to be in a singing section, how many just want to move another part of the ground, how many now have kids & want to join the Family Enclosure? You can make a request to move when returning your ST form but through experience it is not easy to get any joy.

This is a big task but we are at the start of the season so why can't the club send out a request form now giving them ample to try & sort something out for next season?

The first question to ask could be along the lines of: If you renew would you wish to keep your current seat? Yes/ No. If No would you wish to:

Move to singing section

Move to seat in XXXX Paddock XXXX Stand

etc

This is a hell of a job but could have real benefits by getting mates together, families together & perhaps even give the BBTN Boys somewhere to sit & grow a sizeable singing section. By having a full season to work with the club could make proposals to those affected say 3 or 4 months before the season end still have time to collect feedback on their proposals/ offers of seats & look to make further changes if possible.

Of course it would be far easier to do nothing...............................................

That is a great idea. Yes it would be a massive undertaking but as you say once all supporters have given their preference it would just be a case of automating a process to deal with allocating 40,000+ seating positions in one go. I doubt the club has such a process ready to go but I would have thought a specialist IT consulatncy would make short work of it (not much of an IT person myself but it doesn't seem an unreasonable task to me).

The one problem I can forsee, and I might well be wrong, is that I would expect most of the people currently in the top tiers of the Milburn and Leazes to apply to sit somewhere nearer the pitch, where there would be no available seats to move into. But if that happens the club can always write it off. Worth a try I reckon. Maybe the request form could specify that you can move to a seat in an equivalent or 'worse' position in the ground, allowing people to move nearer to mates, but not just to get a better view or be closer to the action.

The devil would be in the detail but the preference form could be worded to stop unworkable requests and preferences could also have a weighting factor applied.

As you say they will be a number of request for fans to get out of say Level 7 & if there isn't scope to move someone then that request can not be moved.

Once the form/ system was set up it could be an annual process & through time most fans preferences should be met.

Being selfish for a moment I'd like the club to give special dispensation to fan sites to use the club's crest where appropriate such as in match previews and reports. I'd also like the club to lax up on match photos, allow fans to create their galleries and so on, something we've had trouble with in the past with rather threatening letters from the club regarding the posting of our own photos taken from the match.

Fixtures too, allow us to post fixtures. Although the Football Data Co own the copyright, clubs do have the powers to allow fixtures to be used by 3rd parties.

We need to treat the fans as customers (point already made). There have been many points in the thread but the simple elements of running an entertainment service could still be expanded. There must be way of getting 30000 people a beer at half time in a better way - try buying the drinks on your way in to be picked up at HT like the theatre.

Carefull what you wish for...

I have been to the platinum Club 3 times - the 1st time we could not get served at half time but noticed people were pre-ordering so the next 2 times pre-ordered and got back to find our tray of pints with our name on had all been drunk by some tw*t with no time to get served or complain!!

Put the price of beer down in the ground and the food, bloody scandelous, and better parking facilities would be much appreciated.

Would be piss easy to do! I'm sure it's things like this that the new owners would love to hear. Well said.

Cheaper prices for cup games, particularly League Cup matches and early UEFA Cup matches against rubbish opposition. Even once as an experiment to see if we can't boost attendances from 25-30K to something much higher.

A large, well-lit underpass to help fans get to and from the Chinatown area without getting hit by a bus.

Important staff appointment announcements. Who this person is and what their role is.

I think thespence made a great point about the increased number of black people moving into the area that aren't coming to matches, plus the boosting the numbers of active supporters in the Chinese and Asian communities in North Tyneside. Newcastle is their club too.

Tart up the ground a bit. The inside areas that are grey concrete could easily have professional murals or kids from local schools could be invited to submit artwork. East stand outside is very dull: surely that is a potential blank canvas? Outside is looking a little grubby and the suggestions of having the stadium floodlit would be breathtaking, perhaps sponsorship could be found for such a venture in return for a section of illuminated advertising on a prominent part of the stadium?

Open training sessions would be great if only every few weeks.

Old end of season reviews on DVD.

foo fighters - the best of you

my nomination for the song we should walk out to. Lyrics are very fitting i think to us, and to the change that is occuring at our club, for this season at least, i could see the fans taking to it for this season
