Guest
Sent home after 2-3 days here of his trial for not being fit...has started in 18 of Racing Santander's 19 games which has seen them move upto 6th just a few points off the Champions League spots. Cheers for Alan Smith, Sam.

What next - Allardyce pictured with Sunderland top on while shagging Tweedy etc. etc.
Guest
Well not really. If we'd signed Duscher, do you think we'd have had to have put up with Smith in midfield as much?
Baggio
Duscher's average, not saying Smith is better because he isn't but I think Allardyce bought Smith without any real idea what to do with him.

Guest nufcfan76
This thread is a bit harsh and a "grass is greener" type slant. It's like saying, "Hey, way to let Saha go a few years back" or "See, we should signed Carrick when he was cheaper and living down the street"- WTF? ease off and move on. Besides, last summer we were all cheering the signing of Smith - that's how low things were. Let's see what he does under Keegan's reign. Fair enough? gray
Has he single handedly dragged them up to 6th like?
TaylorJ_01
Wasn't Smith more of a Ashley purchase seeing as he has his top on every game?

Guest
Has he single handedly dragged them up to 6th like? Course he hasn't, just strange that a manager famed for players' fitness saw fit to get rid of a player after 2 days who has gone to play almost every game in La Liga.
