BONTEMPI
FA reject Fergie complaints FA will not act over Reading 'gesture' protests Last updated: 22nd January 2008 Ferguson: No action from FA over 'gestures' The Football Association will not be taking any action against Sir Alex Ferguson after Reading fans complained he had made offensive gestures during Saturday's game at the Madejski Stadium, the FA said in a statement. It was claimed the Manchester United manager was responding to taunts by the home fans - but he insisted he was celebrating his side's 2-0 win which kept the team at the top of the Barclays Premier League. The Football Association said it will not be taking any action after studying video evidence and consulting the fourth official at the game. More to follow... God it makes you sick how the FA are in the pocket of Man u

Same people who probably sat there giving the bloke a constant stream of abuse for the whole game. And why shouldn't they? Should the ref get Man u players hurling abuse at him for every decision they think he's got wrong? No it's the bent FA giving wankers like that every preference going. Like those Wist 'Am fans who complained about Roeder waving at our fans, while in the midst of calling him tumour boy and everything else.

Dr Spectrum
Whatever the merits of the FA's non decision. Taggart's behavior not exactly fitting for a knight of the realm was it. The man has no class.

ross magoo
I don't have a problem with players/managers giving it back. What kind of weasel screams constant abuse at somebody for an hour and a half then starts crying when they give it back? Would they walk up to a stranger in the street and verbally abuse him? Of course not. People who only attend football matches so that they can verbally abuse people without consequence really need to start thinking about standing up to their Mrs a bit more. NG32
If you are going to give it you have to take it. Anyway, what a fool of a Reading fan giving Fergie abuse when he has two of the best forwards bang in form at the minute, who can both score a goal in a second. Sounds more like egg on his/her face really.

Fugazi
Not worth starting a new thread but: How do you think the minutes silence is going to go in the manc derby? The head of the Citeh Supporters' Association wanted a minutes' appluase instead (presumably because there's less chance of hearing the boos), but that's been rejected by Man Utd. Dr Spectrum
Not worth starting a new thread but: How do you think the minutes silence is going to go in the manc derby? I presume when you say "minutes silence", what you actually mean is "4 seconds of silence"......?
