Guest Heneage
I wish we hadn't let him go, showed real class, Shearer ridded us of him.
1878
The problem is that in Europe Rangers have been playing with an 8 man defence. Even Weir has looked good in that set up. I'd much prefer Dunne. We could have won something during Sir Bobby's days if we had Weir. Even now, an aging Weir would be value add to us. Rather Taylor plays like the current Weir rather than like himself. A load of bollocks tbh, he was average at best. You're making out David Weir is f***ing Maldini and would've made our defence solid just by his mere presence... Am I about to get whooshed? Weir in his prime was not average at all. He'd be no use to you know obviously but he's easily better than any defender I can remember you having over the same period bar Woodgate. Man Utd were sniffing round him at one point.

ShearMagic
Not sure if it has been mentioned (probably has with 140 other pages), but I can't see Anelka staying at Chelsea next season. Could be leaving for 6-7m, would he interest you?

Could be leaving for 6-7m, would he interest you? Been out on the lash? They paid £15 million for him 5 months go, they aren't going to let him leave for less than half of that now. The player has also said that he doesn't want to leave and knows there will be more opportunities in the future. However if Grant goes, I guess that changes..... They're not going to get the £15m back. For teams like Chelsea, a £7m or so loss is nothing. Let's say he goes for £10m, I'd still be interested. He's hopelessly out of touch at Chelsea, surrounded by better players etc.

nobby_solano
we should have had anelka 3years ago instead of luque as it was. i still like anelka, it's just a question of attitude
steve_69
The club's new transfer policy is to buy young talent that WE can develop into stars. Anelka is 29, will cost big money and will no doubt be on huge wages - there is no chance we'll sign him. Next!
KaKa
Otherwise known as Jo the striker who plays for CSKA Moscow. 6 foot 3 with pace, power and skill and only 21 and has a ridiculous scoring record in the Russian league as well as performing in the champions league too. Now he keeps getting linked to Man City, but I have a feeling we will show some interest. Fits all the criteria of what we are supposedly looking for in our new signings, and doesn't quite appear to be drawing the big time attraction from the top clubs yet. Anyone else seen much of him, and if so what think you? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jo%C3%A3o_Alves_de_Assis_Silva

Guest
Could this really not have gone in the "Realistic Targets" thread or whatever if you think we should go for him? No need for a new thread when we haven't been linked.

James
He is a Nigerian striker who does somersault goal celebrations. His nickname is the Buffalo. So in short, he is a cross between Martins and Enrique.

Guest elpapi
Mybe intrest for Manasseh Ishiaku from Duisburg,Germany. Ohh please no. This is just an awful joke :-) If you mix, Ameobi, McShane and Martins, you get Ishiaku... And I only put Martins in there because he does summersaults... This guy wasn't even good enough for the Belgian League... Please tell me you're not ITK
AlanSkÃrare
It says today in a Swedish newspaper that we've been watching a U21 player called Rasmus Bengtsson(Trelleborg) on several occasions and that we're supposed to be watching him yet again when the U21s play this week. Don't know much about him but he's 21 and hasn't made himself a very big name in football yet. I hear he's regarded as one of the top centre half prospects in this country though. Maybe someone else from Sweden can fill me in...
