Dave
I wonder who the board considered last summer, if anyone.
Parky
.... I did hear Hiddink was considered....But I was also assureed we were signing that left back remember. >
Dave
If Hiddink was considered they should have pulled out all the stops to get him. 'Hmm, shall we go for this top-class manager, he looks alright.' 'Nah.'
Guest elbee909
Shocking were even talking about managers when we have one. I'm sorry - who?
James
We should go for Van Gaal.
Parky
Would anyone take Pearce if he gets the bullet?
James
No. Like Roeder, he doesn't know how to pick a good team.
Dave
Nope, same as Roeder. Nice guy, shame about the managerial qualities.
gray
yes, lets get managers that almost get teams relegated, thats worked for us before, we could even give him 50m to spend
Guest Invicta_Toon
we haven't considered the old England model - instead of a manager the team is selected by a panel of the great and the good from years gone by
Guest Invicta_Toon
why not just face it? there are no options might as well employ a graduate and call it a training program
NUFC06
As I was saying.........Doll is currently unemployed btw. He almost relegated Hamburger Marcello Lippi for me
Parky
As I was saying.........Doll is currently unemployed btw. He almost relegated Hamburger Marcello Lippi for me Correction he's at Dortmund now. Yes but he saved them from relegation before and in one season qualifyied for the CL. IMO he is a very very good coach....Usual story at HSV fell out with some of the players....Shame. I have no doubt he will be German coach one day.

Raconteur
Considering we seem to only go for British managers, what about Mark Hughes? (Assuming he would come - but hey, it's as likely as many other suggestions here!)
Guest given take
mark hughes will be at blackburn for a few years before taking over man utd so thats out of the question. how about warnock the sheff united manager. brings the best out of people

Parky
THe problem with Scolari is that personality of his, I don't think a relationship with him a fatty would last 5 min.
Guest
I think given take should change his first name to p*ss.
OzzieMandias
I can't believe we're discussing all these foreign johnnies when a Great British Manager like Mike Newell is available.
NE5
it seems to me that romantic foreigner syndrome is taking over again, like it did when we bought Luque and Boumsong.
Guest
As opposed to when we went for the good old British managers (Souness, Roeder).
eaststar
David Hasselhoff Surely he would instil that extra bit of motivation in the lads....evidence: performances in Baywatch and bringing down the Berlin Wall
