afar
Its one signing, that looks like it has been done on the cheap, its nice to get someone through the doors, but we've a lot of work to do. So lets not pretend we've won the lottery or found that final piece of jigsaw which has been long missing down the back of the couch, because in truth, half the puzzle is still missing. A starts a start though. Fair enough. At least it'll shut people up for a day or two though. Trust me there are more people posting don't panic, than there are actually panicing. cosmic
Is this a Keegan or a Jimenez/Vetere organised transfer? Since Keegan commented on the transfer, at least he approved it....if it was not his recommendation in the first place. Let's just enjoy incoming transfers and worry about these stuff later
Mick
Dear me are we going to start this whole, "well technically the transfer window only opens on July 1st", crap yet again ?? Not unless you want to and think we've done everything on this deal in the last 36 hours or so.

Guest newcastle4life
Really happy about the first signing being made hopefully more to follow. Dont know much about the guy, but very happy with way the club went about this signing, with no press reports. Signings are much better when they are a suprise. S.S.R.
Is this a Keegan or a Jimenez/Vetere organised transfer? The Spanish links suggest Vetere may suggested the player, but the question is - does it matter how it was arranged as long as Keegan is happy? Wasn't a criticism. Just wondering, with him being young and Spanish. I think it's a good idea having a team of people sorting out the transfers, and letting Keegan get on with what he does best. Someone made a decent point earlier that the lack of a press conference may mean others are in the pipeline. We've presented a couple at once in the past. Which would be fantastic news, or it could be that this has just gone so quick and the 'team' (as in Wise/KK etc) are all scattered around the edges of the globe doing other things so a press conference isn't logical currently. Would like to think its the decent point rather than my own thinking though!

Agree though. It's nice to think the structure is bearing fruits instead of just being a complicated mess as the papers would have us believe. colinmk
What do people reckon are KK's plans then, do we think this guy is a certain starter and we are reverting to 4-4-2? Or is he so we have an option to use out and out wingers and we will mostly stick to 4-3-3? Not too bothered either way but it will be interesting to see who signs next and what the plans are. The fact that he celebrates with a spiderman mask already makes this the best premiership signing so far imo.

The ones panicking tend to be more hysterical like. Because they're panicking. Yeah none of the "don't panic" posts were in any shape or form hysterical. Honestly people would post a fairly reasoned message of concern, with their points well made, only for a bunch of sheep to post back in txt speak, link "amusing" jpegs and post comical smilies. If this puts an end to that debate, which it clearly doesn't as TT eloquently put, then I'm in agreement with your original point. But your side, lets call them "the no panic bigrade" has been as guilty as those they call panickers for the quality of posts you are complaining about. Will have to wait and see I suppose.
