total acceptance of mediocrity, is not acceptable. I agree.

BUT - on this board nowadays  -  it IS.

It is the only attitude that is acceptable on here.

If you do not accept total mediocrity on here, you are attacked mercilessly, by moderators and everybody.

It is so frustrating!

Love the suggestion that I shouldn't get involved in discussions because I am a mod btw. Ridiculous.

If you were a rocker, things would be so different.

Sorry, that was shit.

I have absolutely no idea what you are on about. Are you suggesting Taylor's aims for the top six next season are too low?

The way things are going, we will be lucky to finish in the top six.

But, as an "AIM" (objective) ir is PATHETIC.

More pathetic than that though, is the increasing (er) 'realisation and acceptance' by fans on here as something as pathetic as that as being "realistic' and 'high enough'.

For goodness sake - if you aim low ("top six") you will achieve EVEN LOWER.

Does your own experience of your own life not already tell you that??

The aim of everyone in football is to come first. That's why they play.

We'd gain absolutely nothing by claiming we can win the league next year. It'd be compete nonsense. Taylor is saying our aim FOR NEXT SEASON is to get back amongst the top six clubs, and the European spots. That allows us to compete for better players and hopefully push on in following years.

I might have ambitions to be the regional director at my workplace, but I'm not going to say that in a yearly review when I'm years away from the mere possibility, am I?

I think you'll find most on here (and at SJP) would be stunned and delighted with a top six finish next year. If that is 'accepting mediocrity' then sorry but that's what we'll bloody well do.

Most people on here will attack me (and you) for saying that.

They will say - "the best we can hope for - realistically - (fabulous word) is Top Six"

"Get real" - they will say, in happy unison . .

Hear hear, mind you it will fall on deaf ears because manor park is lacking a brain.

Manorpark, you cant beat the pessimists.

on here optimism and wanting success are seen as insane diseases that need to be stamped out, by the doom and gloom mongers.

I have been caned in the past for backing Kk 100%

What an absolute load of shit.

Wanting the best - fine.

Expecting to win the league any time soon - delusion.
