Guest Stephen927
They're quick enough to release a statement about this but fannied on long enough after that meeting at the beginning of the month.
PRL
Alan Shearer - Club Statement Alan Shearer had a contract for ambassadorial duties which ran out at the end of last season. As the majority of corporate businesses decided against renewing due to lack of transfers, Alan was given a complimentary corporate box back in June for use at St. James' Park and the Club continues to have an excellent relationship with its all-time greatest goalscorer. Any suggestion that Alan was stripped of this role because of recent events is completely inaccurate. Did you add that bit about the majority of corporate businesses deciding against renewing due to lack of transfers? Jut looked on .cock and definitely isn't there now... Maybe someone made a bit of an error letting that out the bag officially I added it in, sorry. ha, no worries, seems totally plausible!

Can none of these fuckers speak? Was Chris Mort the only one? It's like watching kids playing with the club website.

I wonder why? Perhaps it was because they were certain of the facts in this case, but weren't in the other? Nah, that can't be it, it's far to realistic a situation to have happened, not to mention nowhere near evil enough.

Refuting yet another story damaging to us, yet rather than a sigh of relief, people seem to prefer to see the worst and hammer the club further. Dave
They avoided commenting on damaging speculation about the club all summer. Although I suppose that's because it was all true...

Guest Stephen927
There were plenty of take over rumours, rumours of Ashley wanting to sell. If it was a fact that Ashley had no intentions of selling, or that the stories were fabricated, shouldn't he have made a statement to calm down fans? The people at the top have lost touch with the fans.

When Chris Mort was Chairman, I was happy to hear from the club as/when he came out to refute various articles, and had little hesitation in believing them. It was refreshing to hear nothing but positive things coming out of the club, and it all came across as very professional. However, since the club statement of last week (The 'Facts' statement) which contradicted a lot of things previously said by Ashley, Wise, etc, and had a very unprofessional tone about it, I am unsure what to believe coming out of the club anymore.
