Yorkie Posted October 28, 2006 Share Posted October 28, 2006 I'd absolutely love it if we got Houllier as manager, infact - i actually wanted him slightly more than i wanted Hitzfeld. Houllier's a proven, top class manager in this division, and won lots of trophies with Liverpool, and had them in the Champions League every season. And they weren't a particularly brilliant team, especially the season they just pipped us for fourth. He'd done well with Lyon since he left aswell. It would be a superb appointment, but it's not going to happen now. I think it maybe could have done, but not now, no chance. Even if Shepherd appointed him, i wouldn't like him.
