Guest toonlass
Were they? I noticed a lot more lads of the Asian persuasion back, who were not there at the Spurs game, rather than the "Nightclub bouncer" type tbh. But I have to agree that they managed the crowd a lot better today than against Spurs.
Lowndsy
i noticed them early on in the second half and a few walked up the stairs at some point to remove 4 liverpool fans, bar that i saw nout from them
mattypnufc
More like how it should have been today. Left us alone, no trouble. The only thing I saw was a family being escorted out, or to another area of the ground. More than likely due to some of the words of our songs. to the ground to go with the 'underpolicying' policy today, rather than the bouncer syndrome. No doubt it will return next game. That was because there was a row of LFC fans in amongst ours, who were escorted to the LFC end after they celeberated when they scored and there was an exchane of words... Scoreboard82
No I don't, the point I make, is if you treat them like you would a Police Officer in terms of being polite etc, they then have no reason to clobber you or get physical. You simply cannot justify a steward "clobbering" or "getting physical" with a fan, other than in self defence, surely?
David Icke - Son of God
What's this been like over the past few home matches? Has there been any change or are they still acting up? Have, as Kane said, they been let go? PM me if you've had a run in with them recently.

I think they've started mixing up the stewards so some are the new beefcakes and some are the non-threatening bean poles. Seems to have been working much better the last few games. Its stating the obvious, but 99% of us don't actually want a fight. I far prefer just helping someone and getting on with the shift.

Heron
Will be interesting for the remainder of this season and the beginning of next, as to whether or not an "official singing section" still exists, and how heavy handed the stewarding becomes... Guest toonlass
Sgt Patterson phoned me the other day and said that because of complaints after the Tottenham game from a large group of individuals and the video I sent him of the incident, they were going to mix the stewarding, with a mix of the new stewards and the more experienced stewards so that it shouldn't happen again.
