Gallowgate Toon
West Ham have won at Stoke. That's got to be one of the all time footballing shocks. Quite pleased tbh mean they might try dead hard against Hull, Pulis won't let them be complacent.
Dave
West Ham have won at Stoke. That's got to be one of the all time footballing shocks. Don't forget though that West Ham are one of the best teams in the league.
Dave
Didn't know this: http://www.sportinglife.com/football/live/tables/scotspremiership.html League split after 33 matches and teams stay within top six or bottom six regardless of points won.

Yeah it's been like that for years. Happens fairly often that the teams in 7th and 8th will finish on more points than 5th and 6th. Mental.
Dave
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scottish_Premier_League Originally the SPL contained 10 clubs, but it subsequently enlarged to 12 for the 2000–01 season onwards. The increase from 10 clubs to 12 was part of the deal offered to obtain approval from SFL member clubs. Since then, the SPL has operated a "split league format" to prevent the need for a 44-game schedule, which was once used in the Scottish Premier Division, but is now considered to be too high a number of games in a league season. Under this system, after 33 games (i.e., when every club has played every other club three times, either twice away and once at home, or vice-versa), the division is split into two halves, and clubs play a further five matches, against the teams in their half of the division, taking their total to 38 games. This can (and often does) result in the team placed seventh having a higher points total than the team placed sixth, because their final five games are considerably easier. In the 2005–06 season, the seventh placed club, Inverness Caledonian Thistle, gained more points than the fourth placed club Hibernian. Never knew that. Aye, fucking stupid rule. No idea why it's used, hopefully a salad-dodger Scot could clear it up? Tongue in cheek.

Pilko
Leeds play Milwall in the League One playoffs then. A policing dream. Just let the Stoke fans organize their staying up party in Leeds that night and hopefully have some West Ham fans knocking about.

Aye, f***ing stupid rule. No idea why it's used, hopefully a salad-dodger Scot could clear it up? Tongue in cheek. I'm not a jock but it's to ensure less dead games I believe. If Celtic and Rangers had to play the teams in say 7th-9th in their last few games those teams would roll over and die, as they have nothing to play for. It's partly to make sure you don't end up with teams having two homes and only one away against each other. Can't play everyone twice home and away as they did when there were 10 teams. At least we gave a much stronger Man Utd ago (i realise we lost anyway). Would be shocking if they stayed up instead of us, not that I think they will. Neil
Now he's doubled his tally for the season, that makes Giggs' season better than Messi's, I think. World Player of the Year.
Neil
Errr, yes Alves is doing badly but wtf is the commentator on about? Very unprofessional blabbering on saying anyone could have done better, etc. Did MOTD cheekily edit out his stamp on the Boro right back btw?
