Thespence
We had a system in place so if the manager Head Coach (1st team) f***ed off it could cope. Wise & TJ with all there contacts found us JFK. Because JFK has been a arse licker & a PR man for Ashley he is going to get a new contract, Ashley is f***ing clown if he dishing out a contract to JFK that has f*** all to do with football. Give JFK a good wedge if he keeps us & then let him go. JFK cares & is up for the fight but that is not enough long term. Thats it bang on the nose the Thespence. Of course it was disappointing KK, but a new manager shold have just slid right in That is what these DOF gigs are meant to be all about of couse we have a ED(F) so that may be different. Scoreboard82
Had he stayed, and the players that were brought in without his approval, not performed, KK would have been held responsible and possibly sacked anyway. He said before he left the squad wasn't good/big enough and now he's being proved right. I agree. Had he still been here, we wouldn't be involved in a relgation scrap. That's why i'm so angry at the un-necessary departure. The club shot itself in the foot by asking him to work under unreasonable conditions.

Ashley wasn't man enough to deal with the supporter backlash (which he absolutely should have expected) when Keegan walked, crapped his pants and issued some pathetic statement about selling the club. Then he couldn't even do that right, and... well.. here we are.
Scoreboard82
get over yourself time we moved on !ferget keegan !move on ! True, Keegans gone and i can get over it. Unfortunately the reasons he left i.e Ashley/wise etc are still running the club. That's a bit harder to get over.
Guest TheKingOfNewcastle
You don't hire Kevin Keegan and let Dennis Wise buy his players, just like you don't buy a dog and bark yourself.

Guest Gemmill
There are fucking loads that don't seem to mind leaping to his defence. It's the fans' fault, Keegan's fault, the banner's fault etc etc. There's a difference between "leaping to his defence" and "thinking he's doing a good job". What you mean is there are people who don't solely blame Ashley for absolutely everything that has gone wrong. I doubt anyone thinks he is doing a good job. Why would anyone leap to his defence though? Does he really deserve Newcastle fans fighting his corner for him? Look at the fucking state of the club. The extended contract to Joe Kinnear, a man under whose stewardship we are racing towards relegation is a disgrace and tells you everything you need to know about the future under Ashley. Forget about Keegan and just look at what's going on right now. This is Mike Ashley's Newcastle United and it's a fucking mess.

Superior Acuña
There were quite a few arguments about these chants. I didn't participate. I'm not hostile towards KK like some, but we just need to let it go. We can't drag that up every time, our current situation is enough to whinge about.
