Yorkie
I'm surprised the FA ever agreed to have another friendly in Spain after the events of last time. (Racist chants).
Syrette
Always found it strange that in Spain they kick off at 10pm. They always do stuff like this late in the day, it's Spanish tradition. They tend to socialise later in the day because of their siestas and working hours.

WarrenBartonCentrePartin
What is the maximum amount of subs permitted to come on in this game? 5 I do believe. Capello has promised club managers that he'll be making several half-time subs. think they just said 6.

brummie
I don't think Ashley has had a poxy season, far from it, but I'm surprised he gets all the plaudits when I'd say Luke Young, Martin Laursen and Barry have all been better for us. Ashley is the most exciting player we have, though. I actually rate Downing, he owned us at our place this season. Young's better, mind.
KaKa
Like the look of Barry and Carrick in central midfield. Yeah, cause they'll keep the ball on the ground with quick passes. No Gerrard hollywood balls tonight.

Quality player, who hardly ever makes the wrong decision with the ball.
brummie
I see the customary ITV shitty picture quality is here in all it's glory. Their picture compression reminds me of the 160 x 120 pixels Quicktime movies I used to work with in 1992.

madras
I see the customary ITV shitty picture quality is here in all it's glory. won't it be spanish tele's pictures rather than ITV sending an entire crew over for the match ?

Dave
I see the customary ITV shitty picture quality is here in all it's glory. It's on ITVHD if you have Freesat, which is far, far better.
Guest Edd
Heskey does his "being fouled outside, but not going down until inside" routine. Regardless of where the foul was Pique should have been off. They gave offside and Heskey was a yard on when the ball was played.

The picture you get on Sky's coverage of Spanish football seems a lot better, and clearer, than this.

No Gerrard hollywood balls tonight. England have dominated Spain for periods. And that's becuase the team Capello has put out has 11 players who to a man are decent to good at what their position is meant to provide for that level. Central midfielders who pass well and intelligently, wingers with pace and the ability to dribble with the ball, strikers with either strength or movement/pace, mobile fullbacks, etc. None of this "oh lets play Gerraarrrrrrrrdddd and Lampard in central midfield because they score 15-20 goals a season", or "lets start Beckham every game because he can hit wonderful 600 yard diagonal crossfield and/or cross-stadium balls". Gerrard for England just goes so over the top with stuff and negatively affects the rest of the team because of it. Stupid long ball after the other.
