Descritpion from SAFC web site (which is doing a better job than ours on updating this game):

GOAL!

Sunderland Res 0-3 Newcastle United Res.

Adam Reed slides the ball back to Carson and the referee gives a free kick for the back pass. It looked harsh and I'm not sure the pass was what Reed intended. Nontheless, quick-thnking Lovenkrands puts the ball down before the Sunderland players can react and Ryan Taylor knocks it home.

from .co.uk :

58mins - NEWCASTLE GOAL (0-3): Quick-thinking by Peter Lovenkrands gives ten-man Magpies  a three goal cushion. Nile Ranger's dangerous pass is cut out by a Sunderland defender but picked up by Trevor Carson, and referee Tony Harrington deems it a backpass and a free-kick. Immediately, Lovenkrands snatches the ball, places it on the floor and sidefoots it along the ground to Ryan Taylor, who smashes home from eight yards.

Guest sicko2ndbest

Ranger has had a hand in all 3 goals

Really think he is close to ousting Ameobi as 2nd choice target man
