Former Nottingham Forest boss Calderwood, 44, is on a shortlist of three candidates, with a final decision expected next week. "There are three which if any one of them came I'd be delighted," Hubbard told BBC Radio Sheffield. "Colin Calderwood's applied. Yes, we have spoken to him." http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/c/chesterfield/8073463.stm

Superior Acuña
Why's he getting stick? We know nothing about what he did.
Frazzle
Why's he getting stick? We know nothing about what he did. Exactly, we only won once under both Calderwood and Shearer....

Cajun
Why's he getting stick? We know nothing about what he did. Because its what we always do, seem to remember Carver getting a fair bit of stick before he left now people are hoping he comes back "Yeah Calderwood should fuck off, he could hardly have done a great job could he!? WE WENT DOWN" "I hope Shearer fucking stays, give him whatever he wants!"
Guest WashyGeordie
Same as Pearson, and now he's doing a decent job at Leicster...
Guest Phil K
Am sure we could russle up 52000 references to help him get the job I think my honesty would get in the way,. I think A "Good effing riddance, and I hope he's significantly better for you than he was for us. But that wouldn't be exactly hard" wouldn't help. But this tripe of "We always blame our coaches, and they're all great and went on to win leagues and stuff" is just utterly ludicrous.* Mick Wadsworth has been an utter disaster wherever he went for one. Carver ? Good luck to him but judging on less than half a season....Jesus. I will agree though that we need coaches who actually ARE good, and not jobs for mates as we've done since Keegans time. AND be given time, just like the manager. But giving someone like Kinnear and Hughton and Calderwood time to do a Leeds on us is just loony. *With the notable exceptions of Steve Clarke, and that feller from Blackburn who went back to Blackburn whos name I forget Why's he getting stick? We know nothing about what he did. And isn't that the point ?
Frazzle
Why's he getting stick? We know nothing about what he did. And isn't that the point ? Not really, we don't know what he did so he's crap? We don't have public training, no-one knows what anyone's done. What's Shearer done? Where's the evidence he hasn't been mute doing training?

Didn't see much improvement in their performance in this department. I suppose you could say there were no 6-0's by Man U - but trying to reinforce the midfield to assist the defence blew up in our faces, as we begun to create even LESS than before. And we weren't contributing many chances as was. No, I don't think Calderwood was much cop. But pay peanuts, get monkeys. Oh wait....we weren't paying peanuts were we ? Groo
Calderwood as a manager was not much cop, struggled to get Forest promoted over a few years even though his budget far exceeded others.

Ronaldo
Not that it's saying much but our defence was the stongest part of the team last season attack, midfield and defence were all equally s****. that's absolute rubbish. Midfield was by far the weakest aspect of the team, didn't do its job in any way, shape or form

Guest
Cant say I'll miss the bloke if he leaves. I was fairly mystified why he was brought in in the first place... Because at the time we only really had Kinnear & Hughton in charge of the first-team, and it must have been a lot of work on the likes of Money & Thompson helping out with the first-team, reserves & academy.
