I had no questions in my mind about renewing, I paid for 3 years anyway but, would have renewed the same day the pack landed on my doorstep if I wasn't in the scheme. Even then can't see too many over the 40K mark. It was 39k or so last year in the Premiership, wasn't it, with Keegan as our manager and fresh promise? Life in the Championship with new owners and possibly Shearer, I don't think its going to get close to 40k at all to be fair. We'd do well to get 35k. Heron Posted July 8, 2009 Share Posted July 8, 2009 I said to a lad at work yesterday, scoring against the likes of Blackpool at home won't provide much of a "f***ing get in" go mental sort of scenario like it does in the Premiership. It might like (I've never experienced the 2nd division), but for some reason I think it'll be like a "meh, so what - we should be beating these sorts of teams" type of attitude. Or is that just me? I've thought the same tbh. Call it deluded blah blah whatever, but this club shouldn't be down there and getting back up will feel like a relief rather than any great achievement. There’s a few people on here who seem to think you can’t call yourself a supporter unless you have a season ticket, but it’s not that long ago that the most supporters didn’t bother with season tickets. binnsy Posted July 8, 2009 Share Posted July 8, 2009 Just had a phone call off one of my mates telling me that we've got our new seats. 7 together in the Gallowgate, halfway up the middle tier just to the right of the goal, well 4 and 3 in front. We've been going together for years and years so took advantage of people chucking it to get seats together. Wasn't expecting seats that good tho!! I have a cracking seat in the East Stand and I don't want to change it by not having my season ticket now. I'm sure that is fair enough to most people who read this? It always used to mind, dunno whether thats because expectation levels hadn't been raised as high as they have done in the last 16 years or not, but a goals a goal in a game no matter who the opposition. Aye, i'm 41 and have been going since 1977 but have had a season ticket since 1982 when they had an offer on of £25 for Juniors for any seat season ticket so me and me mate got one each in the East Stand. It's a habit, i think if i didn't renew and was tempted to pay match by match and pick and choose games i'd get out of the habit of going as so many other people have done as they've got older.
