TRon
Not at all, both could have stayed Nolan left for the money, if Barton goes to QPR he will have done the same. If it was a sideways step fair enough but It's clearly not. Agreed. I thought Barton was only going to leave for a CL club? If he's going to QPR it's not for glamour or success that's for sure. oldtype
No chance of us getting relegated, absolutely ridiculous statement Bet we could dig a couple of these statements out from a couple of seasons ago when we did have strikers in the team. We proved no chance had every chance. If Pardew walks on Sep. 2nd, we don't appoint a manger for a month, then appoint Joe Kinnear, then he dies in February, and we have Jon Carver as manager for two months, and then appoint Rob Lee, I agree, we're relegated. Guest sicko2ndbest
If Barton moves to QPR, he is just as bad as Nolan. Moaning on about lack of ambition then showing a complete lack of ambition themselves. I am sure someone will argue how West Ham and QPR are showing ambition offering ridiculous contracts. I understand the point. And ith all things equal this would be the case however When the sums of money involved are completely contrasting (NUFC low - WH/QPR high) there really isnt a decision to make. Personal and financial security to live the life they want to lead comes first Barton and Nolan could retire tomorrow and both be financially secure forever. They have a financial/life plan that requires them to earn as much as possible before they retire 33/34 They will have massive outgoings Dont be so naive It is on a different level to what you or me can understand Barton earns more in 60 weeks at NUFC (no including any boot deals ect.) than I will in 60 years. It can't be that bad... But it's all relative. Barton will wamt to make as little sacrifices as possible aft he retires for him and his family, and continue living the life he has now. Anyone would feel the same tbh. Correct

There is no way Ashley will go out and spend £5m on Barnetta having just spent £3.5m on Obertan. He played right wing for just over a half vs Arsenal. #pedant
Guest samjack
I'm getting absolutely sick to fucking death of shit like this, i've been supporting this club & attending matches since the late 70's & i am so disilutioned by the whole game its untrue. Do the paying supporters even come into the reckoning at all now......not at all !! The whole game is absolutely ruined & is full of money grabbing individuals who could'nt give a flying fuck for the game. I'm definately not the only one of my age group thinking this way i know that for sure. R.I.P. football, we had some laughs !!

Still doesn't change the fact he will want to be as finantialy secure as possible after retirement, infact it sort of supports the idea.

Genuinely interested to know, I've only been supporting since KK era number one, and it doesn't seem to have changed much since then. I guess one difference was that we used to pay the silly money to make players choose us, and now we're on the other side of the fence.

oldtype
Think he will turn it down tbh. I would find a pay raise, long-term contract, and the chance to get far, far away from Mike Ashley and Derek Llambias very attractive.

For me he replaced Ba and played a little more centrally than right wing. He even chased that ball down against sagna who plays left back.
