geordiedean
Just heard the Gateshead game was abandoned because of a serious injury to our former player Martain Brittain he suffered a broken leg and had to have treatment on the pitch for over 30 mins before leaving by ambulance 30 mins treatment jesus it must have been very serious to take that long and for the match to be abandoned anyone know any more on this?? Guest toonlass
That sounds like something serious if it took 30 minutes to stabilise him to move him. Hope he is ok.
Ronaldo
Why did they abandon the game?
HawK
Why did they abandon the game? Hazard a guess that he couldn't be moved from the point of occurrence, i.e. on the pitch, for 30 mins.
Ronaldo
Surely they could just restart?
Thespence
Surely they could just restart? Not after 30 mins hanging around & the players would need to warm up before restarting.
Cheshire Mag
Unlucky for the lad. Didnt he break his leg when he was here too?
geordiedean
this is all i can find on it but as someone said earlier must have been bad if they had to stabilise him for half an hour before moving, usually they are very quick to get the injured party off the field of play http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_conf/8234283.stm
Guest Stephen927
Unlucky for the lad. Didnt he break his leg when he was here too? Not that I can remember? All the best to him, hope it isn't as serious as it sounds, 30 minutes to stabilise him, doesn't sound too good for him.

Must have been thinking of somebody else then who broke into the first team squad around the same time. EDIT: Must have been thinking of Fatty Pattison.
