Ronaldo
One comment in the paper that was probably made up by Brian Mcmackem makes him a c***? I'd rather have him at the club than someone who won't be able to contribute in any way at all. What on earth suggests that Xisco will contribute in any way at all? Perhaps the fact he's comfortably better than 2 of our 5 strikers?
AyeDubbleYoo
The headline "Hughton hopeful on Xisco" doesn't really suggest he hopes he'll leave. Odd bit of writing there.
Thespence
Hughton is also toying with the idea of handing Xisco a run out at Brunton Park after admitting before pre-season started he wanted to see how the £5m man had progressed during his loan stint with Racing Santander in La Liga. ads
Although I reckon he will be leaving if we get an offer in the region of £1.5m+, I actually wouldn't be opposed to keeping him here, especially if he has a good pre-season. I'd rather that than make a loss on him in the market and not get a/get a worse replacement.
AyeDubbleYoo
I'd be all for giving him a fresh start, but I'm not sure he has the mentality to take it.
Guest Stephen927
I do hope he has come back from Spain with the right mentality for a Premier League season, but ability wise, I'm not convinced he's up to standard. Would be a huge added bonus if he hits the ground running and scores 8+ goals as I can't see us signing a striker.
Disco
Can't do any worse than when he was here first time round which is a bonus.

All parties must come to an agreement on it but to be fair to the lad he barely got a look in after he'd signed. He's only just turned 24 and perhaps feels like he has something to prove. If Hughton sat down with him, told him he would give him a chance in the first team and Xisco wanted to give it crack in England I think we could do a lot worse. I'm sure the three amigos could help him to bed in, he must know Colo from their Depor days. I honestly think we could do a lot worse than give him a fair go. Wonder what odds you'd get on Xisco being top scorer in the Premiership next season. Might be worth a quid.

afar
Would love to think that he would start to justify the price we paid for him, but the reality is, he proabably won't, best we can hope for is a swift exit and that some sucker gives us some money back for him. ads
Forlan wasn't even THAT bad at Man U, as in his talent was clear. He scored some absolute crackers. The comparison and subsequent posts were blatantly sarcastic... Mind you, his record at Man United was 10 goals in 63 games. Xisco has 1 in 7 for us, multiply those figures by 10 and it's a similar statistic though
