I seem to remember a few years ago going to a pre-season game where their was no clock in the corners but they were there for the league season. Not really, what with all the speculation over Pardew's job that will be coming through the season, then all the stuff Ashley does wrong, and of course when our players put the boot in it it would be pretty pointless to put them around the 3 others stands instead of that when all the camera's will be focusing there instead. Apparently has a negative effect on the players trying to see out the game. Totally made that up by the way but I'm trying to get a job with the Chronicle.
