Just watching the Portsmouth press conference, it seems to be that they are making promises that they cannot keep, again.

They also seem to be dodging any tricky questions.

I heard that, seemed very daft to promise they wouldnt let the club go under.

Aye it is.

Also backing up my thoughts that we could see many clubs hit the wall before next season, Bournmouth face a winding up orderaswell, so do Southend and such aswell, it is very possible that their will be a case of clubs going, and new clubs being brought in from the non-Leagues to make up the numbers.

Their chairman was really dismissive of that fan. He obviously has no idea what football means to the fans.

What fan? The bellend?

Mr Portsmouth? No.

Was that the one who Peter Storrie just ignored in the car park?

It's who I was on about aye. Mr Portsmouth is elsewhere doing an interview in his whole silly hat, blue and white woolly hair regalia.

the way its worded 'they've become the first premier league club to go into administration' makes it sound like an achievement (if you didn't know what administration was). Someone should make them a big medal or trophy.

Nah, they will only pawn it, and when some other team achieves it aswell their will be nothing to pass onto them.

"Pawn" I think you mean unless Portsmouth have some strange sexual film idea.

  I was about to bring that up.

Steve Bruce said they've got a 'unique fanbase'.  Nice of Steve comment on 'Mr Portsmouth' politely.

Players doing weird on line videos with the admin trophy, charge the punters a fortune.

Sounds like Pompey are challenging the 9pt deduction.

From BBC.co.uk

Under Premier League rules, clubs that go into administration are deducted nine points.

If, as anticipated, the League enforce this rule, Pompey would have a total of seven points - a massive 17 points off safety.

However, Andronikou believes the deduction is not necessarily inevitable and hinted he may ask the League to withhold the punishment.

"I understand everyone is taking it for granted we are going to be docked the nine points. It is something I need to broach with the Premier League and then look to start talking about parachute payments," he told Sky Sports News.

"I need that to be confirmed during the course of the week. We need to go through the formal process. I think it's early days to be talking about deducting the nine points.

"It is the rule at the moment but we are the first Premier League club to have gone into administration so let's just test the rule," he added

Can't see how they can challenge that without the other clubs protesting.

I think his angle will be that if they don't get deducted 9 points, they could have a better chance at staying up and thus, emerge from administration sooner and healthier.  He'll say that because the EPL clubs have so much money on the line that a deduction for EPL clubs have a greater impact on finances than a club in the Championship and lower.
