Ronaldo
Taylor will be straight back in, man. Bet your house on it.
Pilko
I don't think he will be after 2 clean sheets, like. As soon as there's an iffy defensive performance though, I reckon he'll come in.

Which is fair enough and Taylor will have to accept that. Will do Taylor no harm training at peak condition without playing anyway.
ATB
disgrace if he is dropped for fucking Taylor.
Ronaldo
Not really. It's been years since Taylor's been shown up like Williamson was against Arsenal. Williamson will generally do Ok against plodding/brainless attacks like tonight, but stick him against effective movement in any form and he'll struggle. As will Taylor which is why we need to sign a new starting CB in the summer to play alongside Coloccini. A Chris (not necessarily him) Samba type. thenige
Still think Willo and Colo have a better understanding than Taylor's ever had with pretty much any Newcastle CB.
AyeDubbleYoo
At the moment I don't see any reason to change Willicinni, it's doing well. We'll need Taylor at some point anyway.
Incognito
Williamson, after a few shaky games, played very well tonight.Credit to him,and hopefully his confidence has returned just in time for a revenge mission on Elmander and Davies.
Guest firetotheworks
Better than Taylor, easily.
JH
Taylor will be straight back in, man. Bet your house on it. I'll take that bet Bolton - Williamson on the pitch, Taylor on the bench.
Cajun
He suits Colo better because he is unassuming. Taylor likes to be the hero but Colo is the one who should be getting forward because he is excellent at it. Willo is happy to sit back and do it simple which is why they suit each other. A giant tank of a centre back would be perfect for Colo in the summer, a bit more mobile than Sol mind.

Maybe not Bolton, but as soon as Pardew thinks he's ready.

He's much less hot heated than he was. I'd keep Williamson and Colo as a partnership as they are doing well but I still think there's more to come from Taylor he's never really played in a settled team with a the same manager for more than about a year! Last few games though, Williamson has been getting better and better.
AyeDubbleYoo
If we did sign a CB, it would need to be someone clearly better than Williamson and Taylor, not a backup IMO.

I'd love it if we started next season with another top class CB alongside Colo. Colo, (?), Williamson and Taylor is a decent four CBs to have IMO

Colocho
Can't see Taylor walking back into the side, unless either Colo or Willi get injured.
Punk77
Can't see Taylor walking back into the side, unless either Colo or Willi get injured. It will be not fair against Williamson either. Against Bham, he was our best defender. He won almost every head duel. He showed how important it is to have a cb with air prowess when meeting times like Bham, Stoke and Burn. I think he's been god the last 2,5 games. Back to his best under CH?
Ronaldo
Taylor's far better in the air.
Punk77
Taylor's far better in the air. Are you blind? Taylor is inferior in the air compared to Williamson.
Mick
I would be far happier playing Williamson if we could amputate his arms. I expect him to give away a penalty every game as he's always got his arms around the opposition.
Ronaldo
Taylor wins and gets far more power/accuracy on his headers.
Flip
Agree with the two last statements. Williamson is an average defender.
