Jayson
No use him being there. We try to direct the play through him when they dont bother to attempt any real creativity and it generally fails. His best skill is making it look like hes been pushed over by someone half his size constantly. People seem to think he did well yesterday because he linked the play, he linked the play because the defenders are more interested in being tight to Rooney. Rooney was having to drop into midfield just to recieve the ball. Seems obvious, Heskey is not enough of a danger to be in our side. It was just one of a few things that hampered us badly yesterday. Guest michaelfoster
He's a better version of Shola Ameobi Cant shoot or score Rubbish first touch Cant pass Always offside Always gives away fouls Waddles round the pitch Sounds like our number
The Prophet
It's all worth mentioning his miss against USA was criminal, easily as bad as Green's error.
Keefaz
Is completely unimportant whether he's in the team or not, tbh. If the other players continue to play like they have we stand no chance with or without him.
Super Duper Branko Strupar
Heskey is the Ameobi of the England team - no matter what he has done/will do in the future people will always use him as a scapegoat. Heskey is the Ameobi of England as they're both s**t

Mr. Snrub
Oh no... here we go. He's useless, protected by this stupid myth of him playing well with Rooney. Spot on. At least the people who don't rate Heskey could admit he played well in the first game, but the Heskey bum boys who keep this awful myth going will just never stop. They'll never admit he just isn't good enough at this level.

Pilko
For the record I've not said Heskey should keep his place, I was merely pointing out that he's been the best player so far, regardless of the formation, tactics etc. There's no getting away from that, and anyone who says otherwise is either biased or stupid. Fwiw I think the 4-5-1 against Slovenia could be effective is gaining us the win.

He wasn't England's best player by a country mile in the second game though. He was a complete laughing stock who fucked up royally every time he got the ball. Fair enough there wasn't any England players who actually played well, but unlike the others, this is normal form for Heskey.
Guest n4e
Find it strange Heskey is getting so much blame, he's put in two typical Heskey performances. It's the under performing players like Lampard and Rooney who should be taking the flack.
hakka
I don't see why we use Heskey. His goal threat is next to nothing and he generally will win a few headers and lay it off. To be honest Crouch is fine at controlling high balls with his chest and then laying them off, plus he actually can score goals and play well with the ball at his feet. Crouch should have started instead of Heskey.
womblemaster
clearly cajun knows nothing about football, and is stupid to boot. Heskey played quite well at times last night, but he had no players around him that he could pass to and rooney was floating about in his own sweet universe. OUr problems stem from the midfield slackers, not the strikers. Only people without any football sense would try and make him a scapecoat for our troubles. Thespence
His shitness is there for all to see. A couple of goalkeepers have scored more international goals than him. He does not make anyone play any better. Lets get Crouchy in for him for the next game.
Cajun
Is completely unimportant whether he's in the team or not, tbh. If the other players continue to play like they have we stand no chance with or without him. If we had two forwards on the pitch who had the potential to score it would make it harder for the opposition, at the moment they only have to worry about marking Rooney because Heskeys next England goal will come shortly after Alan Smith wins the golden boot. womblemaster
I dont like crouch played as a striker, as it lures our idiot players into using hin as a target man, however.... `To be honest Crouch is fine at controlling high balls with his chest and then laying them off, plus he actually can score goals and play well with the ball at his feet.` He can be quite good at linking play between midfield and the real strikers (rooney/defoe). crouch should never be used as an out and out striker. Guest BooBoo
Has been one of the better players over the two games. Apart from the fact that's not true, that isn't a compliment at all. He offers nothing and desperately needs to be dropped I'm not looking for an arguement but over the 180 minutes who has performed better? Gerrard had a good first half v USA but other than that...
