Disco
I'd go with a team from Scandanavia as well. Would give us all something to talk about in the close season. I'm happy to go with the majority decision. And I'd also agree with the policy of an N-O trip to support them at some point. This a damn good idea Maddy. How about we don't pick a team from the most expensive place to go on the piss. Need to draw up some guidelines IMO and then have a vote. Something along the lines of: - mustn't wear red - must be a relatively unsuccesful club - fans known for passion - not based in a capital city or based in a regional capital - preferably have some tenuous link to NUFC. etc etc. For those who want to follow a team with a funny name I suggest Dinamo Bender from Moldova. merlin
Isn't Shalke the obvious, and only choice? Agreed Absolutely - on the button, huge support, under-achieving club....

Mag in Aberdeen
Good idea this, East Stirlingshire maybe, they're pretty bad Wouldn't mind Schalke though, going to see them in October.
MKSC
It also needs to be somewhere that doesn't cost a shit load to get to, and also somewhere where getting murdered is not likely. Does it say something about us as NUFC fans that one of our main criteria is that they aren't a very successful club.

Keefaz
Think Maddy's initial suggestion is the best so far. Most other people's are too big, tbh.
MKSC
No problem with that as such. Paris is a piece of piss to get to, although it is a bit pricey when you are there. They play in a nice green and white shirt though. http://www.redstarfc93.fr/boutique_maillot.php

Super Duper Branko Strupar
I like the twinned cities idea, but of the few I'd like, Malmo's away kit is red & white, I like Groningen but if Toon fans are to adopt any Dutch club it has to be PSV...... Haifa's a good shout.

Reykjavik and Viking would be good also. I think this one takes the prize for me though... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montevideo_Wanderers_F.C. Cracking nickname too, and Camoranesi played for them. I think its a winner.
