The College Dropout
that's what I'm trying to say dude, yes, I think he can do those things evidenced by his body of work over the years in Ajax and some of his best performances for us. I also alluded that I hope his better qualities shine as he adapts more to the league, his teammates and under a hopefully non toxic environment our squad were in all of last year. But have you seen it for NUFC? In the Premiership? There's no doubt the Dutch league is less physical than the PL.
Mole_Toonfan
A lot of Anita's issues are due to the style of play and how Pardew uses him rather than the league itself IMO.
Wilson
A lot of Anita's issues are due to the style of play and how Pardew uses him rather than the league itself IMO. And the fact he has never had a decent run in the same role.

AlanSkÃrare
Really hoping for Anita to displace Tioté from the start this year. Most modern midfielder we have. Needs to be the link he's perfect for. Him, Mapou and Colo would be very re-assuring when bringing it out from the back.

I don't get the Anita hype on this board. At least Marveaux has shown what he's good at. Gouffran's looked handy. Mapou looked solid at fullback. Anita? Don't think he's had a genuine good game for us.
Ronaldo
Anita in front of Mapou and Colo. We'd have to score 3 to win a game.

AyeDubbleYoo
Anita in front of Mapou and Colo. We'd have to score 3 to win a game. It's definitely our best lineup IMO. Although yet to be proven obviously.
Ronaldo
We'd be far too vulnerable at set pieces. It's no good passing the ball around if the opposition are going to kill you in the air and play through you with ease.

And that's basically the only difference to what we play now. I admit there's a place for Tiote in certain games though, if he can recover something like form. With Colo being pretty poor in the air and Anita being a midget. Is it a good idea to even slightly further diminish the teams aerial ability? Ronaldo
I'd play Taylor and Colo to start with.
Ikon
With Taylor and Colo i think we would concede more goals due to the lack of recovery pace than we would through losing headers with Mapou and Colo. Especially when our fullbacks are as offensive and not always able to get back in time when the opposition counters. EPL is more modern now than it used to be. I'd put my money on Colo and Mapou. I think Mapou will look stronger in every way, and most of all he'll be more confident knowing what to expect. It's not just about size.
Ronaldo
Taylor's just a better PL central defender than Mapou. It's not just his physical and aerial superiority.

AyeDubbleYoo
Mapou will end up being many, many times the player that Taylor is. And I like Taylor.
Ikon
Taylor's just a better PL central defender than Mapou. It's not just his physical and aerial superiority. Jesus Christ, dude! Mapou came in to the team not used to anything in our team or league and much more. Most of all we were a mess on the whole. Im quite sure Mapou will prove you wrong and prove his potential and be class in the near future. And i think he's going to better than Taylor THIS season already, within time. He might not start at first but he'll show that he's the better player.

He's just, right now, an inferior defender to Taylor. He's had his best 3 games well away from the physical battle at LB fwiw.
