I've got a feeling that post is filled with s**** about how amazing Jonas is at carrying the ball out of defence, while not caring about his many, many flaws, so I think I'll not bother reading it.

What a wise idea... turn a blind eye to his strengths and just keep banging on about the same things ad nauseam.  Great strategy...

He never said that at all ffs. The post from toptoon however is gushing praise with little balance but lets not let any facts spoilt things eh?

It's exactly what he said.

Are you thick? Or in your mind are people only allowed to repeatedly go on about a players strengths rather than their all round game? 'Nobody' merely pointed out it would be a very onesided post which is was yet you cry about it? What is wrong with giving an honest view of Jonas instead of glossing over the truth to praise him like too many on here do?

Edit: Its pathetic that Routledge often gets slaughtered yet Jonas is allowed to get away with anything on here.

If Jonás wasn't Argentinian he'd get just as much flak as the English Routledge.

There's some interesting bits on the guardian chalkboards, showing when players lost the ball in a tackle/unsuccessful dribbling. A certain players name appears a lot of times down that left flank. However, I'm led to believe he takes pressure off the defence, and keeps possession. Nevermind.

Tbf to Jonas he can be brilliant on his day, other than Ben Arfa and Enriwue he's the only player who has the skill to realy run at and through defenses. i think with both him and Ben Arfa in the side would alleviate pressure for both players. Not saying both should start if we have a full squad, but he's certainly not as rubbish as people are sugesting.

not exaxtly too far fetched to sugest that many of those times he's gained a throw in like, technicaly not surrendering possesion.

Without a doubt he's the only athletic player currently available (apart from our fullbacks), never going to argue against that.

Been at least 3 times this season he's dribbled the ball out, without any pressure, to give the opposition a throw in too. The guy's a headcase. Mentioned it earlier, but I think he's the type of player that feeds off the fans and doesn't have a good game unless the crowd is pumping.

Unsurprisingly avoiding saying he is nowhere near as good as people say though.......

did it at fulham (think it was) in the 93rd minute or something, don't think i've ever been angrier with a fooballer in my life to be honest. I agree with the latter part aswell.

Someone also mentioned a point that may or mot be true, which is that he seems to play better in the summer, I habn't realy noticed or took the time to check it out but it certainky sounds feasable.

Ben Arfa should be on the right or in the middle for me. Think he showed in his short time he will be best cutting in and running through the middle. Jonas is an important player for us and has been for a long time. No-one else in our team bar Enrique is willing to run with the ball and Jonas often gets targeted by the opposition because of this. Ben Arfa coming back should allow him more time and space.

The balanced team is the key to using Jonas properly IMO, we need to prevent the opposition doubling up on him the whole time.

I thought Routledge was good for this, can't understand why he was sent out on loan. I don't think Barton on the right (although he's been good) provides balance to the side.

wtf was the point of this post? i think the fact I never exactly bigged him up as the best player on the planet and even suggested he shouldn't be a starter in a fully fit squad sort of suggested this. You probably would yave noticed without the blatant agenda you have against the guy.

I honestly don't see all the hate for Jonas on here tbh. Sure at times he's abysmal but so is Williamson, Barton (how many times has he overkicked his freekicks this season? and the like. However, the thing is that Barton and Jonas when they play well REALLY play well. I'd take him, ecspecially considering how much he helps to change matches like he did against arsenal

Its an agenda to see his good and bad points and not ignore them? How pathetic when i get accused of that!

Maybe if you didnt use the word 'brilliant' at the start and complain about anyone suggesting he is 'rubbish' at the end it would have helped? No sod it, dont bother i will continue to judge him as i see him as soo many see fit when it comes to every other player in our squad rather than pander to anyone's OTT praise.

I think the word brilliant was deserved in the context it was used, ignore that though by all means.

I havn't even read your opinion on him, just your strange post suggesting I should have stated "Jonas isn't as good as people are suggesting either".

Wtf are you chuntering on about?  You really can be a pretty objectionable poster at times.

Of course it was a one-sided post, but it's a bit inane to then address it in a condescending fashion.  It's clear to everyone that Jonas isn't a perfect winger by any stretch of the imagination - but he offers a hell of a lot to offer the team.

As someone said earlier - this thread is genuinely on a loop.

Strange? Maybe you have selective reading, there was nothing strange if you read the whole series of posts.

Well you finally managed to post something worth responding to, it genuinely is on a loop i agree. As for chuntering on i'm sorry but you seemed confused understanding the simple posts before hand, i wont help you anymore though!

Exactly. Hopfully Ben Arfa will provide more of this even if Barton continues on the right.

I was involved in no series of posts man, there was me offering my opinion as to why he is a useful player and why he isn't as bad as some people say, wether he isn't as good as people say aswell was irrelevant to my point. He may not be, I don't know, so far though I havn't exactly see much lavish praise tbh
