So confusing reading these threads. He had two decent crosses, which on the balance of things are nullified because he dribbling down the line and out of play twice under relatively little pressure.

He had an excellent game today after a shaky start.  He was all over the place and put some excellent balls into the box that mainly came to nothing because we didn't have Carroll on the other end of them.

With regards to Gutierrez, the simple thing is that we play better as a team with him in the side, regardless of how how performs.

He has to stay on the left because of the combo between himself and Jose. (i.e. He needs Jose to do crosses for him.)

Well don't I feel left out with my opinion

First half - terrible

Second half - very very good

He plays better when he's not pressured and he was able to use the space that Spurs left when they pushed forward looking for an equaliser. His crossing was much better too.

Thought he was very good today. Just read the rating a Newcastle fan gave him in the Observer. A '6' apparently which was near enough the worst rating he gave out. Bloody harsh.

A lad in front of me today when coming out of the ground was saying that Jonas was shite and that we should sell Carroll.

Our centre back today showed him how to play as a winger in 10 seconds of play, says it all really.  He had a decent game, but still isn't a winger.

:dowiespin:

Yeah, whatever.

Coloccini has scored double the goals of him in the premiership now, says it all really.

Says nothing really. Nice new catchphrase though.

And not a sniff of a goal or an assist. Hopefully Ben Arfa will return and remind folk what a winger is supposed to do.

Agreed.

Jonas not getting an assist yesterday wasps much to do with the forwards as it was him!
