De Jong was then pictured jokingly checking Toure wasn't hurt, with a City coach pretending to give him a yellow card. And Manchester City claim the footage and the way it was portrayed further damage De Jong's reputation. Meanwhile, the Dutch Telegraaf newspaper says De Jong, who was left out by Holland after the challenge on Ben Arfa, feels that he was "dropped like a brick" and made a scapegoat after Dutch coach Bert Van Marwijk came under pressure.
