Premier League managers who have played against England at a Euros or World Cup

There's a few dodgy interim ones in there which are tricky

This is a great one.

Off the top of my head:

O'Leary

Gullit

Koeman

Ancelotti

Pochettino

Lambert

Vieira

Tudor

Kompany

Only other two I could guess at for Scotland would be

if Kevin Gallagher was maybe Blackburn caretaker, or John Collins at Fulham.

It is

Just looked it up and apparently he was just an interpreter for Lombardo. Brolin as caretaker manager just sounds mental, it's not that far away from having Balotelli as caretaker.

Here's one. What's the fewest team-mate links you can get from the first ever top flight League game to today? (I'm sure there'll be sources of line-ups back then).

Eg.

Milner playing in 2026, was team-mates with Shearer in 2004.

Shearer was team-mates with Jimmy Case in 1988, who made his Liverpool debut in 1975.

And so on going back (might be a link from Milner that goes further back etc).

Rule is they have to have played in the top flight on the pitch at the same time.

That sounds fun but labour intensive, I'll bookmark this for Monday and do it during work hours, at least I'll look busy to the untrained eye!
