7 Years since Henri Saivet started a random Premier League game and gave the ball away leading to a goal, and scored a worldie, all in the first 10 minutes.

-10 potential on FM 2008. What a waste.

Probably in the top three away supports I've been lucky enough to be in with.

I got punched in the face by a scally who was about 10 years old while walking back to the bus. He came charging out of some flats and leapt up at me. Coppers were absolutely pissing themselves laughing. In fact everyone was. I wanted to strangle the little twat but he ran straight back into the flats. Very funny now but back then I was fuming.  My BIL still tells the story to this day. He's a dick as well mind. 😆😁😄

First game against Liverpool in 1989.  Goal after 3minutes by a Brazilian international against the champions followed by 3 of the worst years in the clubs history.

We mine too. Was far too young for it really. Police dog display at half time was the highlight.

Ha! That's my abiding memory too, and the rain. Nothing to do with the actual game for a while yet.

Stand out feature from my second game against Everton was the same - the weather and that they played "Alone" by Heart at half-time.

I don’t think I went again til the beam back of the boro game the next year. Then a trickle the following season. I got these made for my first homes and aways in lockdown.

I was there. Level with the penalty spot in the Milburn paddocks. I never experienced that level of celebration before.

was also in milburn paddock, in my minds eye it was  a sell out but duncan wood suggests otherwise.

Officially there was only a couple thousand more, undiscernable to the naked eye, than the Millwall game but it felt at the time and looks when you look back at it very different to that. Best atmosphere I'd experienced by that point, part of which was how heaving it all felt.

Agreed.
I think I have said a few times on here but it was (and still is), the most I have ever celebrated a goal in my life and the wildest celebration I have ever been part of.
What a moment, and it remains my favourite NUFC goal. I think it always will be.

I was only 9 and went from Keegan taking over in the milburn paddocks every week for the rest of that season, apart from mackems game which I think was all ticket and the one time I stood in the gallowgate.  I was able to sit on the concrete barriers quite peacefully in the main but that pompey game, and grimsby away were utter bedlam.

Was down in the Falklands for that whole run of games and can remember just laughing at the absurdity of that goal when watching it on BFBS. By far the most satisfying result was the Liverpool game, not least because my boss was a 'Pool fan who made that whole detachment more difficult than it should’ve been.

Aye I was absolutely convinced that Ashley had cracked it as owner at this point and we were on an upward trajectory. [emoji38] Think we got spanked off Wigan 4-0 straight after this game.

I remember thinking it was obvious that it wasn’t a sustainable run, we were far too reliant on Cisse burying every shot he took. Think the Swansea game we won, which was a slightly higher scoring version of the 1-0 wins we used to have vs Spurs when Krul had a blinder illustrated it best.

One of the few times in my life when Newcastle has been a shining ray of light during a shit time though, which is something I guess.
