Fair enough, but I see it completely differently. He's a bit of a c*** but I think they're taking advantage of that and stringing him along and lying to him. Otherwise he wouldn't be as lying to us as ridiculously as he is.

Do you think he was lined up a month or so before he came here?

I'm undecided. I wouldn't be surprised, but I'm not going to take it as gospel.

We both know he was strongly tipped to have been coming here, I can't think of a more less likely appointment and he'd be the last name I would have used if I was trying to look like I knew something.

But who initiated things and made the decision? Because I doubt Pardew approached them and said "Hey, if you sack Hughton you know where I am".

Yes he could have said "Now come on Mike, this is a bit unfair. I'll wait until Chris is sacked" but like I said, we all know he's a cunt. But my anger is directed more towards the man who went searching for a manager whilst he still had one in charge, rather than the puppet that answered the call.

I have no doubt that either Ashley or Llambias approached Pardew.  He's still al liar for denying it and I wouldn't trust him as much as I wouldn't trust the people he works for.

Llambias lives in Essex and, as it happens, is a West Ham fan. A lot of West Ham fans (well of the ones that I know anyway) think Pardew was ok for them so maybe that's where the idea came from. Oh yeah and he loves a night out in the casino and owes Llambias shitloads of gambling debts etc etc.

I'm not sure how good he was for West Ham, he got them promoted but almost relegated them while refusing to play Teves and his mate.

Pards top striker now is Bestie, that reminds me

One of Ashley's chief reservations about Hughton is understood to have related to transfer dealings and player recruitment. Leon Best, a £750,000 buy from Coventry, is believed to have been a major bone of contention

The few moves Hughton has been allowed to make in the transfer market have not impressed Ashley and Co.

One of Calderwood’s recommendations, James Perch, has made a disastrous start to his Toon career since joining from Nottingham Forest.

And striker Leon Best, signed for £2million from Coventry in February, has been a flop.

I wouldn't have admitted it either like

I've come to accept that things are shit and rotten at this club, and you have to take the positives as they come - as long as things on the pitch are ok then I can't really complain about the manager.

He says things that he shouldn't and comes across as a cunt (I think I've stressed this too much  ) but before tonight I was incredibly impressed with our performance in the league so far.

I've got a feeling I won't be so impressed in a few weeks like.

I hope he turns out to be a good manager for us, I can't see it though.

I do think a lot of their fans liked him. The feedback I get is that he liked to set up sides to attack and he's good at the media stuff. Fair point about Tevez and Mascherano but he didn't sign them and, as it turned out, neither was legally registered as I understand it.

For what it's worth, I don't think we'll have a good manager or a good team under this regime.

We can struggle on and have some sort of up/down form, but we'll never properly settle or progress whilst Ashley remains in charge. One day he'll decide it's time to go and someone will decide that they want to take over. Until then, we have to take each day and each match as it comes.

I've only known one West Ham fan and he hates him with a passion and couldn't wait to see him go.

Everyone I've asked who isn't a Newcastle fan thinks that Pardew is a pretty good manager. And that includes a West Ham fan.

I work with a few mackems, they laughed when we brought him here.

Ah well that's the problem with trying to find a proper sample to get an objective opinion

Funnily enough both of my mackem mates said he was a good choice.

Anyway, my point was just that he seems to be quite well respected in football.

I'm just going on his decisions since he's been here. Hindsight seems to be his outstanding quality so far.
