Ronaldo
2 people voted for Bastian Schweinsteiger? Mental. Good to see a good few votes for Drogba. He'd have been right up there had he shown better form this season.
Village Idiot
van Bommel and van Maarwijk spoiling their vote. So did Casillas. Probably they voted for Robben/Sneijder which voided the vote but at least didn't hurt their chances.
Guest Mantis
Dont understand why anyone cares about FIFA and its awards. They have no credibility so they dont warrant a mention imo.

Taylor Swift
Ironically xavi and iniesta probably had their votes by all the people who wanted to honour spain winning the world cup. Iniesta didn't have the best of seasons, but an awesome world cup. I have no doubt that if xavi was the scorer in the final, he'd have won this in a landslide. In the end, it went to the the player who deserved it as well so I have no problems with that. Milito should have had some recognition. He basically was mj for inter with all the important goals he scored.

mattypnufc
Have to laugh at Henry Winter last night claiming that 'Mr Consistency' Schwienstiger should have won it. As if being consistent has anything to do with winning this. It hardly outshines the likes of Messi/Xavi/Iniesta/CRonaldo for brilliance does it. Fuckwit. Fugazi
Football365 were clearly gutted Burrows didn't win goal of the year, saying it lost out to Altintop's "relatively mundane" volley.
Ginola
Serbia Stankovic Dejan Sneijder Wesley Eto'o Samuel Maicon Bit of bias there surely? Really hope Barca win the CL. FYP. They're brilliant to watch and hard to argue that they aren't the best team in the competition.
Village Idiot
Man, you really are taking this award waaaaay to seriously. Laugh to the bank with the 3 trophies that were worth wining this season
mrmojorisin75
Had they used the old system then Sneijder would have won with Messi being 4th, but they changed it this time around, wonderful. It's best for all though, now everybody is happy and satisified right? Messi Messi is a better player than Sneijder so everyone should be happy
mrmojorisin75
Not when it counted in the CL and WC though. So Iniesta should have won it then by that logic more than likely, given it's the bigger of the 2 prizes? Sneijder won 3 trophy's but imo only an inter fan could say he should have been standing there instead of any of the 3 barca players. Any one of them could have won it ahead of Messi, for me it should have been Xavi but there you go.
Ginola
Sneijders WC performance is overrated tbh, sure he was good, but not as good as people made out and in the CL it was more a result of Inters defensive performance & referee disallowing Bojans goal that got them through. Xavi should have won it above Sneijder and Messi tbh.
Taylor Swift
Milito arguably had a better season than Sneijder. I know Sneijder played well in midfield but Milito was the dog's bollocks in all the big matches. Without him you'd have whimpered out of the CL semis, lost to Roma in the Copa Italia and drawn a couple of your matches at the end of the year, giving the title away. TRC
Most of Sneijders goals in the WC were deflections anyway. Iniesta or Xavi for me, Messi didn't have a great world cup. The boy Leo is a genius though.
Village Idiot
Robben was better than Sneijder in the WC, and he's nowhere to be seen in the lists. Again, he was only one game away to achieve everything Sneijder has.
mrmojorisin75
Iwouldn't have complained if Iniesta or Xavi had got it tbh, but the fact Messi winning it by scoring loads of goals in a shit league just does it for me. why do you think it's just scoring goals that won him it? he's a fucking genius man, the best player in the world - if it was just goals in a shit league where was cronaldo? Ginola
Iwouldn't have complained if Iniesta or Xavi had got it tbh, but the fact Messi winning it by scoring loads of goals in a s*** league just does it for me. Pretty sure he was top scorer in the CL as well. You couldn't sound more bitter if you tried.
