Minimum of Palace, West Brom and Everton will all overtake us in the next few weeks. If Sherwood keeps Villa going then you can add them too. We're nailed on for 14th or 15th and about 40 points.

Ashamed that he is an Alumni of my old school.

Assume they didn't offer GCSE football management.

Absolutely not, the school went downhill since producing Lawrie McMenemy.

Which school's he/you from? Cuthie's?

Aye.

It will be enough to survive. So long as we are not going down (which I can't see) there is only 1 left game which I'm bothered about.

You shouldn't be, it'll be the worst game of "football" witnessed by mankind and we'll still come out second best. We're keeping them up to add insult to injury,  nailed on.

Should have attacked more

Still, could have been a solid 1-0 victory, if Krul had saved one and the penalty been given

Actually,yes.

Carver has had some bad luck so far, infinitely better than Pardew, I'm glad we have a passionate Geordie in-charge for once, he'll turn it around, I'm sure of it!

He understands our fans, knows what we expect and want. He was brave enough to play 2 upfront as well.

We could do much worse. I'd rather have Carver, I'm sure he'll improve this club, His passion for the club alone will attract talent, imo, as they'll see what it means to us fans.

Aye think we'll finish 14th personally.

Appoint Carver in the summer with the PR spin of Money to invest, local man in charge and him not getting a fair shake of it due to injuries and suspensions.

True test of Carver's ability coming up with Colo out!

I back him to pass it. Let's hope Charnley and Ashley see sense and keep him

0-4 against Villa at home

Aye, back Carver to thrash those Mackems 5-0 minimum

Not been so excited for a derby since before Pardew!

Carver knows what we want, and we'll thrash their own goal defenders

Mackem test:

1. Are you on the dole?

2. Do you wear tracksuit bottoms during the day?

3. Do you like cheesy chips?

4. Do you still live with your mam?

5. Do you have webbed feet?

Answer honestly now.

s*** mackem wum, is s***. Surprise.

Easy with the name calling.

Some of us like to see some stability at the club. Pardew's horrible football aside, at least, we had some stability and not manager changes every week

However, with Pardew, we'd gotten boring, he was not motivated to take the next step. Even with Carver's limitations, his passion, work ethic and experience will help us strive for more and finally take us out of this top 10 nonsense and on to a European spot in the next two seasons. I'm sure of it!
