TBG
Didn't mean to open this can of worms It's very VERY rare we have a pop at ppl for not singing! Anyway I respect all toon fans, and like you say upto them what they do, looking forward to next season with the level 7 lot in the gallowgate. Should be back to it's vibrant best :-) That's why my "mong" comment wasn't aimed at you and your mates i know you're there to support the team, I'm on about the lot that are that goosed they can't find their seat and when they do they just give abuse to the fans around them, i don't care how p*ssed you are there's no excuse for telling a kid to f*** off for not joining in. Anyway's see you next season
bowlingcrofty
Not sure if it's like this where you boys sit, but it usually tends to people who are non ST holders that come in and cause the bother - because they know full well they wont be there the week after to incur the wrath of all the regulars. madras
When we're losing and you need to get behind the team, then singing is a way to encourage them. If you want to take kids I'm all for it, love seeing young'uns in NUFC tops makes me proud to see them coming through. But there is a family stand so if you dont like the swearing then I advise to take them to those seats. Oh just for the record I;ve never swore at another person directly at the match and never would! Yep Nick started that chant off (joey one)... We go to encourage our players and it is f***ing annoying when the team needs some support to see ppl sit there and not give a flying f*** tbh. Anyway the debate is pointless as ppl go to support the team nowadays and the rest well I have no idea at times. Next season it will improve with Level 7 lads coming over! because you haven't the the sense, curtesy or decency to be able to stop swearing your head off ? I used to sit in the gallowgate middle tier and when my mate couldn't go he'd give me his ticket and i'd take one of my kids and they shouldn't have to pout up with that crap. everyone lets slip the odd thing but some would go way over board and on one occasion i've had to have a word. the attitude of "go to the family stand" is something i'd expect from the mongs at the SoL. here's an idea, why don't you watch the game in an over 18's environment if you think that is acceptable behaviour ? It's useless arguing/making a perfectly valid point. MKSC
Kev's alright, he can come accross a bit of a gobshite but really he's a good bloke. I've watched a few games close by him and not seen him do anything other than give his all to support the team. Sometimes that can boil over in to a bit of a sweary rant but I think most of us can do that sometimes. I doubt he's ever told another fan to sing up or fuck off, although I'm sure we have those sort of morons knocking about in the stadium somewhere. Guest GallowgateKev
Madras and Jack Flash, you're welcome to come and sit nrxt to me. You'll then see what judgemental idiots you have been on a forum!!! If you read the posts I think youll find I rarely swear at games, yes maybe the odd rant out of frustration but who doesnt do that? I have NEVER swore at any other NUFC fan unless they swear at me first. When it comes to the family stand thing I'm sorry but thats why it's their to keep children away from such language. Imo I love seeing them in the Gallowgate however parents must understand they could hear such language! Dont want to "fall out" with ppl over this it's just my opinion as is yours which I respect!!!! madras
I'm judgemental yet you are the one seemingly thinking It's ok that people shouldn't need to take notice of their surroundings and act accordingly. As I posted earlier swearing often slips out but many go way too far and simply saying kids should be in the family stand, when there are many reasons why they may not be is to only make excuses for crap behaviour. Chicken Dancer
I try to avoid all kind of communication with the club, probably a bad thing but I booked a tour with my Granda last week and all I got for 13 minutes was a recorded message of some man with a fake geordie accent telling me 'It's Arsenal at home first for the Magpies, followed by a trip to Sunderland!' followed by some crap about nufc.co.uk or something. Anyway back to the point, the lad I sit with went to the Box Office about 3 weeks ago to confirm since we can't be sat in L4, could we go to the Strawberry Corner, he then picked where he wanted us to sit and according to the lass there, it was all done and dusted. That was 3 weeks ago. Should I be worried I've not heard anything? A letter, and email, a phonecall, anything. I'm scared.
