Other clubs' transfers

It's great how this amazing homegrown talent nuturing quota rule has actually managed to hinder any chance that home-grown players have, rather than help. Fantastic work by the boys in charge.

Must. Stop. Spurs.

Moses will be kept around for the CL home-grown quota.

I think you dont HAVE to have 8 players locally trained(hg) but you must have 4 club trained, which can be youngsters but that would use up U21's in your 25 squad limit with players, which would not need to be in it usually as they are under 21. You might have 5 and the other 3 slots stay empty. So it really doesn't matter how many you have but it helps your squad numbers.

"If the club doesn’t have enough players to fill the slots for locally-trained players it will have to leave those slots empty. If the club has more than eight such players, any surplus player will have to take up one of the 17 remaining slots, leaving fewer slots for players who are not home grown."

And they might sign Rooney.

Would be mental to swap Mata for Rooney and some cash on top of that.

yup except rumours all summer said Mourinhio doesn't like mata for some daft reason-probably too much footballing talent not enough eye gouging for his tastes

Not if you already have Oscar, Hazard, Willian, De Bryune and Schürrle.

still lunacy. if that is how it turns out Man Utd should bit their hands off for such a deal

But Mata is arguably the best of them.

Not so sure Mourinho agree with that. Mata looked awful yesterday too. Looked like he's lost all his confidence over the summer.

I would argue the same.

But who know If I were Arsenal I'd be throwing some Money Chelseas way for Mata.

Possibly Real Madrid too if they sell Benzema and Di Maria.

He's not actually fit at the moment tbf, its one of the main reasons Mourinho didn't start him first game.

The old Mourinho tactic of buying players to stop rivals having them. Absolutely pointless, fucking horrific cunts.

Yep, Chelsea resuming their top 5 hatred standing.

Arsenal would have had Mata before Chelsea if they wasn't so cheap.... backing out of the deal over a couple of million

They seem to do that a lot recently, don't they?

they're following the newcastle transfer model
