KaKa
So, he looks like exactly what we need then...? Would certainly add something different up top, yeah. Looks pacy and explosive. Nice runs looking to get in behind the back four.
Guest Heneage
Not afraid to run at players either by the looks of it, I think he might surprise us a bit. You think we'll manage to get him? FWIW I've been impressed thus far, nice touches good work rate.
KaKa
Bahebeck is a decent looking prospect. Menez is way too wasteful.
Guest H09
If he is as good/perfect for us as people are saying he is then he won't be joining us, just lock the thread now.

AyeDubbleYoo
New York look the better team so far, but Erding had a decent half.
Tsunami
Hope he's more Bellamy than Lovely Pants but having said that he doesn't want to come. His workrate looks top class but he's playing to stay there and this is a pre season jaunt.

Guest mimifrench
I thought Newcastle United had given up with Erding... Nevertheless, the only reason Erding looks so concerned in the match is because he wants to stay in Paris. He, of course, knows that PSG is building a strong team with all those big transferts and he wants to be part of this adventure, which is clearly undestandable. I think Paris could easily win the league this season, considering OM and Lyon hadn' t reinforce themselves yet.

Which means ... ? mimi, Erding wasn't even a fixture in the first team last season! PSG have since brought in numerous new attacking players, with more still to come apparently. Why on earth would Erding still feel he would have a chance and want to stay? IMOas soon as we give hi and his agent what they want he will be over at Newcastle in a flash. Whether or not we decide to give into their demands, or whether they choose to settle for less, is what it will come down to at the end of the day. Can't see him genuinely looking to stay at PSG to fight for his place. PSG are like Man City now, he's got no chance. Especially coming off of a sub par season. Chrisjraby
It does seem weird that Erdinc wouldn't want to come to Newcastle given that he's got to be at least 4th choice for them now, maybe lower. Maybe it's testament to his character that he'd rather sit on the bench for a team who look set to be "going places", rather than coming to play for us? Sifu
I'd still very much want us to sign Erdinc but this is really getting boring.
Dinho lad
Surely Luyindula's place is far more under threat? Looks past it.

Maybe it's testament to his character that he'd rather sit on the bench for a team who look set to be "going places", rather than coming to play for us? Just looks like a negotiating tactic to me. Sitting on the bench would show a lack of character if anything! The guy was one of the top scorers in France just over a season ago. If him and his agent get what they want he will leave. If not to us, then someone else. lille and Gala are after him too apparently. I'll be shocked if he's still at PSG at the end of the window. The fact PSG have supposedly accepted our bid, already sends the message that they do not even really see him as an option.

Of course Erding wants to stay in Paris ! Even the commentators are repeating this since the beginning of the match... PSG probably wants to get rid of him, if there are some good offers for him. But PSG will play a lt of matches this season (europa league, cups, ...) and he'll be a good sub on the bench. And did you even thought that it was Erding who didn't want to come in Newcastle ? Or maybe you're too confident ! Erding doesn't worth more than 7 million euros... If he wanted to join your team, with the offer you did, he'll normally already be a magpie! AyeDubbleYoo
He looks a good player, but not an excellent one. Hard to judge him on a friendly like this, but he really didn't do much. If we hadn't been linked with him I wouldn't be saying we should go and get him. As I say, not much to go on today though.

Pardew has already stated that Erdinc's initial reaction to the move was very positive. I guess we'll have to wait and see, who will be proved right on this one.
