Beezeri
Is there a club which could control Barton really?
JH
Eh? Other than Barton grabbing Gervinho nothing else happened Players from both side helped diffuse the situation if anything. Arsenal players got quite heated with the officials.

JH
This is all about Barton and the fact they can't touch him due to the yellow This is their way of punishing him/us Shut up man
Hanshithispantz
Tbf I doubt the FA are charging both sides just to get a Barton, he gets a raw deal bt I doubt it goes THAT far. I'm guessing the just trying to set an example from the start of the season. It's bollocks like as absolutely nothing happened.

Steggy
Songs charged with violent conduct. Does that mean a 3 match ban?

Arsenal players got quite heated with the officials. I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary to be fair, just the natural response any group of players show when a player is sent off. The officials took control pretty quickly and the game kicked off again with a couple of minutes. Mental fine tbh.

Got told several times to go away by the referee so they went to the linesman instead. And Chesney ran the length of the pitch to get involved too. Fine might be quite harsh but it's clear they're trying to stamp out this surrounding the referee lark.

David Icke - Son of God
To be expected. It was hardly a bloody battle royale but given the hysterical reaction to the entire situation I imagine they lost sight of the fact that it was one player hitting another with the rest trying to break it up, not a mass brawl. Maybe bias towards us, but I don't recall our players doing anything particularly negative during the incident. Obviously other than Barton and Taylor. I would completely agree if, like Arsenal, they were surrounding the referee and his assistant such a ridiculous amount. Tbh, if it was a case of finally taking action against players being absolute pricks towards referees, then I'm all for this fine. But you know it'll be a flash in the pan, and it'll happen next week, and fuck all will get done.

FA are setting a precedence by making an example of us Mine's significantly less conspiracy theorist and there's also likely to be some sort of guidelines in place to stop them discriminating against a player. Especially since they've charged both teams, and not just us or Barton.
