Newcastle vs Fulham - 28/08/11 at 1:00pm (Not on TV)

Blessing if he's out. Think we'll score 3 if Shola doesn't play.

He didn't play midweek and we were hardly banging them in all night long.

We're at home against a team we should beat there. Think we'll pass it around much better than we have done so far and create far more opportunities than we did at S'land and against Arse. Confidence should be decent, I think both strikers, whoever the two (Best/Ba should start) are could well score and another from one from midfield or one of the Tayls. Just a pointless gut instinct.

In fairness, whenever it comes round to a day or two before a game I always talk myself into us winning the game. Still, I really think we'll get goals on Sunday and that we'll dictate most of the game

Best we can hope for is 0-0.

Why?  :undecided:

We have not got the players to break down what will be a very defensive minded Fulham team.

Why will they be very defensive-minded?

They were when they came up here last season, but may not be under Jol.

feck, Sholas our best striker formwise!

:frantic:

Remind me how many he's scored so far

as many as the rest of our strikers but at least Sholas looked vaguely competent up front in putting himself about

You must have been watching different games to me like.

Leon Best has looked more competent than the rest of our strikers put together so far.

I'm not sure he has but even if he has, it's not saying much as they've all been bollocks.

Can definately see a draw 0-0 or 1-1

Aye me too unfortunately.

Having seen their highlights against Wolves last week they surely can't play that bad twice in a row. Nearly all of Wolves' chances came as a direct result of Fulham needlessly giving it away in their own half.

Has he?  Shola hasn't been perfect but he put decent shifts in against Arsenal and Sunderland.  Best wasn't that much cop against Scunthorpe

Leon Best was missing chances against Scunthorpe. Already makes him better than Shola.

I wish Shola was spurning chances. It'd be an improvement.

In all seriousness, he threw himself about more, won more balls and looked more of a threat on a goal than Shola has.

My point was that Best was up against a League One defence whereas Shola has played two PL teams.  It's obvious we'd get more chance against Scunthorpe, don't see how you can use that as a stick to beat Shola with.

Because I don't rate Shola. And I don't think he's a goal threat.

So I'll take whatever stick I can to beat him with
