gbandit
Blessing if he's out. Think we'll score 3 if Shola doesn't play.
TherealnorthernTOON
Senderos/hangeland, hope we ain't gonna hoof it this time. Better off trying to bring it down to the deck in this game. Murphy ain't got the work load anymore to run that much and we should be quite comfortable bringing it around in the middle.
Frazzle
Blessing if he's out. Think we'll score 3 if Shola doesn't play. He didn't play midweek and we were hardly banging them in all night long.

gbandit
Blessing if he's out. Think we'll score 3 if Shola doesn't play. He didn't play midweek and we were hardly banging them in all night long. We're at home against a team we should beat there. Think we'll pass it around much better than we have done so far and create far more opportunities than we did at S'land and against Arse. Confidence should be decent, I think both strikers, whoever the two (Best/Ba should start) are could well score and another from one from midfield or one of the Tayls. Just a pointless gut instinct. In fairness, whenever it comes round to a day or two before a game I always talk myself into us winning the game. Still, I really think we'll get goals on Sunday and that we'll dictate most of the game
Frazzle
I agree, I just don't think dropping Shola will solve all our problems. We still desperately need a new goalscorer.
black_n_white
I think the best/ba partnership might be a non starter going on Thursdays game, they didn't link up once?
ujpest doza
Best we can hope for is 0-0. Why? We have not got the players to break down what will be a very defensive minded Fulham team. Why will they be very defensive-minded? They were when they came up here last season, but may not be under Jol.
alexf
http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/aug/26/squad-sheets-newcastle-united-fulham Doubtful Shola Ameobi (hip) Not the hip again! he already had one operation and that made him slow as fuck. Just make him "play through the pain barrier" thats what he did under roeder and he had his best ever run

Frazzle
Has he? Shola hasn't been perfect but he put decent shifts in against Arsenal and Sunderland. Best wasn't that much cop against Scunthorpe

timeEd32
Shola getting hurt right now would be a godsend. We would HAVE to buy a striker then.
Guest Rey Mysterio
Can definately see a draw 0-0 or 1-1 Aye me too unfortunately. Having seen their highlights against Wolves last week they surely can't play that bad twice in a row. Nearly all of Wolves' chances came as a direct result of Fulham needlessly giving it away in their own half.

Best wasn't that much cop against Scunthorpe Leon Best was missing chances against Scunthorpe. Already makes him better than Shola. How? I wish Shola was spurning chances. It'd be an improvement. In all seriousness, he threw himself about more, won more balls and looked more of a threat on a goal than Shola has.
Frazzle
My point was that Best was up against a League One defence whereas Shola has played two PL teams. It's obvious we'd get more chance against Scunthorpe, don't see how you can use that as a stick to beat Shola with.

So I'll take whatever stick I can to beat him with
