When he goes down it never looks like he's being fouled and somehow today thought staying up was the right call when he felt Yates' studs on his knee. He has really cut off the dives lately to be fair to him but took it a bit too far today. Refs/VAR also once again proving that you will not get the call without embellishing. He gets pushed as often as most and gets little for it. He hits the ground soft but others do similar and always get the FK. The dives aren't better but for some reason he doesn't get them, very similar to Shola in his time.

Lush Vlad
I wonder if there has ever been a player more universally despised than Ryan Yates? Absolute hatchet man that somehow gets away with murder because he has the armband on. I was watching with a load of neutrals today and they all said similar. Useless fucker that somehow gets away with 2-3 yellow card offences per game. Today was no different. I think he got booked after his 4th or 5th foul. With most of those proceeding that being yellow card worthy. No idea how the refs let it slide and he only has 3 yellows this season. Every game I see him he is up to no good and starting shit. huss9
we were sat behind the away goal so had to watch through the net and impeded by the crossbar. none of really saw the elbow. havent seen any highlights yet. just got in and the missus said "that Yates is a bit of a thug, isnt he?". and does the ref have some history with Forest? they were booing him from the kick off and chanting "its allway about you". Dokko
One of the worst ref performances I've seen in a long time. If it's incompetence then fair enough, shite and we move on. Felt far more sinister than that.

He throws himself to the ground a second too late or goes down unconvincingly under no pressure too early. It has fuck all to do with him not being a name. He is just terrible at it. Sad state of affairs when we are effectively talking about how good or bad someone is at cheating. But that is modern football, I guess.

There's a reason why Bruno has been getting caught a lot more this season. Many of them were FKs last season but refs are getting wise. I watched amazed at the amount of FKs Bruno got the last couple of last seasons for obviously throwing himself down and he's no worse than many others. I watch him regularly and think it’s not a foul. But he is convincing and he sells it even when it’s not and the refs give it. Do you honestly think they’re thinking who the player is when they blow the whistle?! Longstaff is the polar opposite. He goes down like a sack of spuds when it isn’t a free kick and it’s clearly a dive. Then when it is a blatant foul. He stays upright and he gets fuck all. Like I said. Fuck all to do with ‘names’ getting the decision and Longstaff not getting the rub of the green. He is just no good at gamesmanship.

If anything Brunos are more telegraphed and he's been caught more this season. I do also think Longstaff suffers a bit from Shola syndrome of getting sod all off the refs for some reason, even obvious stuff like Yates's attack today. Yet Bruno is the most fouled player in the league and it’s not even close. So he clearly is convincing in the refs eyes. Longstaff isn’t in the refs eyes or the fans. Well, basically everyone bar you, apparently

Just seems like everyone is in agreement that he is crap and just a dirty, spoiler of a player. Proper hatchet man.
