mins between goals etc ....must be pretty good stats for cisse!

am assuming he has the best stats in the lge (over 13 games).

Sure I read somewhere that he currently has the best goals-per-minute ratio in premier league history.

78 mins per goal atm i think. Was 67/68 before Wigan.

According to what I got from the PL site, it's 13 goals spread over 926 minutes = 71.23

Does that include stoppage time?

No, it doesn't, that's true. The other figures I have in my little "table" seem to include it now that I rechecked a few of them.

RE: the goal-to-minutes list.

It would be interesting to see a goals-to-shots-ratio (goal scoring efficiency), pertaining to that collection of scorers. I'd imagine there would be close connection there. Based on his NUFC form (and the fact that we don't create as many chances as Barca,Man Utd & Arsenal) it's highly likely that he'd go close to topping a chart like that.

Over the spread of a season (taking into account any dry patches in form - and he wasn't as prolific in the Bundesliga this year) I'd imagine there would be a drop-off in numbers. Was Cisse's record at Freiburg (this season) accounted for, when compiling that ranking list?

13 goals in 34 shots according to yesterdays SSN. Hit the woodwork 3/4 times in that too.

Only his NUFC games. But as Kint made me realize, the site I pulled the PL data from don't seem to include stoppage time. The Spanish and German players seem to do, and I think the numbers for Ibra do too.

Not sure where to find out what the true figure is then. All i know is someone gave the 78 min stat which must have been in one of the papers this week.

Edit: Even being generous with added time his average remains at just under 73 mins per goal so that 78 min one must be wrong.

I can easily get shot conversion rates for La Liga players:

Messi: 23,5%

Higuaín: 39,2% (always been among the best in that)

Benzema: 20,8%

Cronaldo: 17,8%

So Cisse ranks very well at 38.2% according to SSN news stats

With the same conversion rate as he has at Newcastle applied to the number of shots Messi has had in the Primera and CL Cissé would have scored 102 goals this season.
