themanupstairs
It's quite unreal how many mackems are happy with this. They really are a different type of person, we've all known it for years but the rest of the country are starting to realise how disgusting they are. One good thing that'll come out of this is they'll ruin themselves over this doing silly things like doing that salute to him, singing fascist songs in support of their new leader and after the fines and uproar the dust will settle and no serious manger, player or sponsor will go anywhere near the club again. Parky might say at this point Short is doing it on purpose, he's damaging the club as much as he can before cutting the adrift. Nothing else makes as much sense They have no choice IMO. They are desperate for something to go their way. They want their club to stop up, and it's more a case of them being blissfully ignorant than malicious. Some of the rhetoric on RTG is way over the top that's for sure, but it stems from their desperation for this appointment to be "the one".

Dave
Di Canio will deck McClean within the first few weeks, for sure. Was reading the Celtic forum and they seem deeply divided about Di Canio. Guess it could go either way. And they have it right. DiCanio's got a volatile image. Always going to rile more than he gets adherents I was delighted with his appointment from a purely selfish view as a Newcastle fan. But the OTT response and soap box ranting has amazed me. thankfully, some have been doing the p*ss taking route and slowly that'll take over from the strutting orator types. This is just too good to allow to be bogged down in pompous lecturing. Yeah, let's only say and do the things that one person on the entire thread wants to say and do. Imagine that! Hands up if you agree with this statement http://d75822.medialib.glogster.com/media/d2/d2688fb7b836a5896ed6afcaf4bf313504d9d996f280dfe922ba304792df58ec/mussolini-speech-jpg.jpg

Hanshithispantz
Does it really matter if he's a fascist or not? I mean it obviously does, but I don't really see what effect it will have on the club once the initial storm has weathered, by the start of next season he'll just be another manager at another Premiership/Championship club. It's not like the zombified corpse of Benito Mussolini has been given the job.

PCW1983
PDC and that lot are a good match for each other, both attention whores who constantly try to claim a status that they have neither earned or deserve. Match that with views of a neanderthal and they are the perfect combo. Sunderland and the media need to take a long hard look at themselves giving this clown attention that is undeserved and serves no purpose other then to fill a 5 min spot on a free view channel. During times when we are desperately trying to eradicate these kinds of pathetic views from life and football giving this man any kind of publicity sets us back 20 years. In a footballing view they have appointed a manager who will blame everyone else for his failings and he will fail, no doubt about it. But of course, his politics have nothing to do with football.......fucking half wits.
George Bailey
Ignorance.Pure ignorance. NO PLATFORM FOR FASCISTS. Not even close. Extremist views against people can be done by both sides of extremist views, whether you call them Fascist or Totalitarians means zilch. End product is the same. Ignorance. Sorry mate just is... You are coming from the viewpoint that the regimes of the Soviet Bloc, of Maos China, North Korea etc are/were Communist. They aren't weren't. Not even close to being Socialist. Communism and Socialism have nothing to do with this alleged totalitarianism. Its understandable. Thats how they are/were been portrayed in the western media. Its about inclusion, participataion and acceptance within the "democratic" process. Fascism is the antithesis of this. Communism is the very embodiemnet of democracy, true democracy. the social revolution that will free mankind and allow us all to participate in ruling ourselves. Inclusion in the procees not exclusion and rule by an elite or single party state. The subversion of the Soviet Bloc and the other Stalininst regimes are /were reprehensible, spot on nut they have nowt, nowt to do with communism or socialism, nowt. The betrayal of the Russian revolution and Stalinist "one nation socialism" policy, are as far removed form Marxist, Leninist philophy as are the wetsern democracies we live in.... Guest Phil K
Why are we Geordie's arguing about this? PRE-CISELY Maybe it makes some feel "superior" in some ways to lecture others. In a quite (ahem) fascist manner ! As I said in the beginning. So what ? Let's have fun with the makems over this, not goosestep around pontificating about you aren't allowed to think THAT ! Think as I do or we'll flame you ! And Bimpy474 - you should have had a yo-yo dangling from Adolf's fingers. He's a fantastic Banjo player. George Bailey
Wasnt meaning to lecture at all: apologies if it came across that way. it matters though honest, mate. Perfection, of a kind, was what he was after, And the poetry he invented was easy to understand; He knew human folly like the back of his hand, And was greatly interested in armies and fleets; When he laughed, respectable senators burst with laughter, And when he cried the little children died in the streets Yes I know maybe some think sport and polisics don't/ shouldnt mix. simple thing for me is though: all life is part of the political process really. Anyhoooo. Was worried they may appoint someone half decent, Solskjaer,Curbishley...at least they have a fuckwit..
