Yorkie
Gut instinct is that yellow line will be sandwiched between the two others pretty much all season.
Guest
Looking at that one, matches 11-20 are where we could pull closer to the 2011-12 line.
Yorkie
It's actually been a pretty canny week, really. Morale-boosting draw at the Mackems where a victory was only prohibited by the referee. Comfortable victory in Europe that puts us in the driving seat to qualify. A very good three points today against a team who've been playing very well. Those are the facts, however fluky we were today. Hopefully Cisse's bottom has provided the catalyst for a bit of momentum. Next week is a huge game; a point there would be another good result. Yorkie
Today's not a bad result by any means. Liverpool aren't what they were but Anfield's a perennial bogey ground for us. Out of context, i wouldn't be disappointed with a point and we're currently unbeaten in four, 8 points from 12. With some winnable games to come, it's not bad at all. DWWD isn't a bad run of form - you have to give Pardew credit for that. I consider the next five games all seriously winnable. 10 points is an absolute bare fucking minimum against the upcoming opposition. This current run is a decent building block, as torturous as the games have been. Can't tell if we're building momentum but - as poorly as you think we might be playing - we're only 3 points off 4th and November is a massive opportunity to make a stab at the European spots. EDIT: Talking shit, i've counted the Brugges game as a PL one. But the point remains, we're not far off CL spots.
Guest
Looking at the figures in brackets, only Chelsea are really tearing up what they did against the same opponents as last season. Fulham are the only other team to pick up 3 or more points. Liverpool, Arsenal & us doing the worst. (Reading = Bolton, Southampton = Blackburn, West Ham = Wolves) Manchester City.........................+62.........91 (+2) Manchester United.....................+49.........90 (+1) Chelsea......................................+28.........73 (+9) Tottenham Hotspur....................+21..........66 (-3) Arsenal.......................................+24.........65 (-5) Newcastle United.......................+1...........60 (-5) Everton.......................................+12.........56 (0) Fulham........................................+5............55 (+3) Swansea.....................................+1............49 (+2) West Bromwich Albion.................-5.............47 (0) Stoke...........................................-10..........47 (+2) Norwich City................................-18..........47 (0) Liverpool.....................................-4...........45 (-7) Sunderland...................................-2............44 (-1) Wigan..........................................-21..........39 (-4) Aston Villa....................................-18..........37 (-1) Reading.......................................-30...........35 (-1) Queens Park Rangers..................-27..........34 (-3) Southampton...............................-27..........30 (-1) West Ham....................................-39..........27 (+2)

Guest
That'll take an age to work out. I just swapped 18th with 1st, 19th with 2nd and 20th with the Play-Offs.
Guest
Liverpool down to 14th if they lose at Chelsea, we'll go within 3 of Arsenal with a win.
Stottie
Thanks Nut. We've started the season with harder fixtures this time, so the yellow line is not as bad as it looks. An issue will be can we kick on this year as the fixtures get easier given that such games are coming when injuries, suspensions, Thurs-Sun Europa League tiredness, etc., are starting to mount. West Ham being only two points ahead of Wolves is a curious one. It means they can only have done well in fixtures Wolves did well in. West Brom too have not improved on a fixture by fixture basis. Liverpool cruising towards mid table mehness then. Maybe Rodgers should start giving it the "twenty million off the wage bill" one before the pressure really does build. Guest
Two home wins in our next two matches and we're only one point down from the equivalent fixtures last season. Pas mal.
Guest sicko2ndbest
There is a strange and worrying correlation from game 10 through to 17 for the past 2 seasons. The line almost flatlines during both seasons. We don't seem to do well over the winter period! Hope this season bucks the trend
JH
Aye, 7 points from 27 in the last two seasons (games 11-20). Chance to catchup on ourselves this season. Need a better winter.
Taylor Swift
Why hasn't Dan updated this shit? We're only -3. We're still doing ok but we have to continue winning our home matches.
