Andymc1
For all maths/stats geeks, read the book "The numbers game: Everything you know about football is wrong". I quite enjoyed it and stats don't bother me too much. HP, you'd love it but I presume you've already read it. I thought about getting that but the reviews were s***. I thought it was decent and had some valid points. One particular one that Pardew could take note of is corner to goals ratio and how statistically it may be better to play a corner short, keep the ball and keep your shape with defenders staying back. Overall it was worth reading, better than doing nout on the way to work.
LRD
Is there a reasonably accurate list of the respective salaries of the NUFC squad anywhere? How about vaguely credible then? its all guess work tbh Yup, even the more tedious compilation of managerial wages gives you such figures from tsmplug. http://i.imgur.com/Wk2aHS2.jpg?1 Laudrup received a £4.5m payout for his 1.5 years left. Guest tollemache
ooof do we know anything for sure about Pardew's potential payoff?
maybe_next_year
I'm pretty sure those figures are very wrong. Allardyce is on a hell of a lot more than that for a start.
Happy Face
For anyone that likes these things, I've shared a spreadsheet with every result going back 25 years. https://docs.google.com/file/d/0ByKcu35MQu-pUnQwSzN5Q1A1eWc/edit?pli=1 Download it and you can filter on managers, opposnents, home, away, goals scored, golas conceded, where we were in the league at the time, or date. Perfect for quickly finding out things like how many games Souness lost by 3 or more at home in November while we were in the top half and that sort of thing. There was one. a 4-1 defeat off Fulham. It's amazing how many times random things like that come up in conversation. Excellent job, I'll be using it

Unbelievable
https://twitter.com/MikeAshleyLies/status/525187806889381888 The Chronicle have seen your stats and run with it: http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/jack-colbacks-claims-false-position-7982116 They get delivered some cold hard facts they could have dug up themselves, and they still find a way to fuck it up: In 2014 Newcastle have played 27 but have won just six of those, including the 1-0 win against Crystal Palace on Saturday, that finally saw them win for the first time in the 2014/15 campaign.
