NUFC transfer rumours in the press

Recommended Posts

Before he signed permanently for West Ham, I always thought he would jump at the chance to come back but I get the impression he is settled at West Ham and perhaps would not be so keen on a return now.

I wouldn't be surprised if West Ham were open to offers considering his contract and his injury record but there is no way they will be paying him £120k a week although he is obviously paid a lot more than we would be willing to offer.

It seemed as though he strung them along all summer in the hope we'd make an offer.

Alexandre #Lacazette au micro de @canalplus : "Je reste à #Lyon. J'ai envie de continuer ma progression ici"

Alexandre Lacazette to CanalPlus: "I will stay at Lyon. I want to continue my progress here."

Why would he be happy that his target doesn't want to force a move? ???

Spending no money see.

 can't buy/too expensive/wont'e be held to ransom

See I get that Ashley is a total prick but this kind of thing just leaves me scratching my head.  Does he want to unsettle players in order to get them cheap or does he celebrate when they don't want to come so he doesn't have to sign anyone?

A fit AC would improve us greatly, but that is where the problem lies. Fitness and why he's not worth buying at £15m.

 No doubt.

Its all about this. I think he would be shine back here again with the crowd behind him and being back home. Danger is not having a minder for him and that troublesome injury spell.

He has had a bad run, but doesn't mean he will always be crocked. Not a risk I would want us to be taking at 15m. Plenty of other options out there surely.

Love to see us buy Lukaku. (yes wishful thinking I know)

Think he'd shape up if we signed him tbh

Him and Nolan forgot to shape up when they were here previously. Why would they do it now under the same manager that sanctioned selling selling both pissheads off?

Yeah, I can't see Colo letting him stay round his house if he gets in bother

Actually think he'd be a decent signing for us.  With Big Sho gone we don't have a big man option and with the football we play I think that'd be useful.

I don't think its about being in shape, he's just had a lot of injuries especially ankle ones which are hard for big guys to recover from.

Why on earth would you need a minder for an adult professional footballer? If he can't get a grip on his own personal life to affect his football in a positive way, then he doesn't deserve to be a pro. End of story.

NEWCASTLE United have been linked with two forwards, while a host of big name Premier sides are also looking to strengthen their squads.

Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette, 23, has agreed a move to Newcastle in principle, but the French club are demanding 20m Euros (£15.8m) for the international forward – BBC website

Has he?

The snippet is from a chronicle story that says he's agreed a new contract (with Lyon) in principal. Bbc sport got their wires crossed

My attitude is this: If there's any striker we want and the club in question wants 15+, i say pay 17 and get it done.

You're certain to agree a deal and in a lovely bonus erase Michael f*cking Owen from the record books, win win  :D

The "top class" striker is the only player we're not going to be able to get at a bargain/cheaper price. Which is why I feel we won't get one. Sometimes you just have to pay the man.

we're not seriously after carroll again are we?

he's just not fit enough to rely on and worth no more than 8m, nevermind 15m
