NUFC transfer rumours in the press

Recommended Posts

I mean, what audience would they make that up for in their own country. "Let's make up a story that Isla is going to Newcastle for 4 years for $14m."

Doesn't make sense. I reckon there's something there.

He's one of the biggest names in Chilean football, probably sell papers/generate hits.

Despite being neither a FB or RM, he could actually be the sort of defensive winger Pardew would love to have on the flank.

An old school damaged goods but come good transfer by us too.

Someone else made a good point about Arevalo 4 years back mind, was in the Uruguayan press for a while how he was coming, then there was a quote from his agent saying he was in talks with us but depends on if a move for an Ivorian came in...then a few days later we signed Tiote.

Probably would've got more cards than Tiote if he'd come

Too much money for this regime to fork out for a utility player like. Doubt there's much in it.

Might have said the same about Anita tbf.

Isla is far more than a defensive winger IMO. Fantastic going forward. He is a winger/wing-back. If anything he doesn't always defend with discipline. More a forward thinking player, than a defensive one. Though he will certainly put in the work tracking back as needed for sure.

Carroll out of West Ham's next two pre-season games, time for us to sign him then

Injured? They're with us with in New Zealand right? He didn't travel?

If the article mentioned Isla signing a 5 or 6 year deal with NUFC I could have believed it. The 4 year deal part of the story makes me doubt it is true.

Get Clarence on the blower.. have a word.

I honestly think this is just old news and Isla was back up to Janmaat. Hope not though. Would satisfy our needs as far as wingers are concerned.

Striker, Deep lying playmaker and CB next.. That said - Wouldn't surprise me to see the CB lowest on the priority list, unless we sell Mapou. Pards is bigging up Streete and Satka, sure he is happy to have them back up Mapou, Colo, Saylor and Iron Mike.

Isla huh? Pardew hallmarks all over this one: Janmaat LB, Haidara RB, Santon RW, Isla LW, Ginger and Tiote CM, Sissoko back to his preferred number 10 role with Riviere lone striker. Solid.

Cabella and DeJong off the bench on 75 minutes to rescue a point.

TRon, take it from me. It will happen.

I prayed for a Chilean. We need a Chilean.

If only the one we got was as good as the first one....one George Robledo esq.....!

Naturally skeptical on whether this is true. Would be great if we kept signing players though, since it gives Pardew less excuse to hide with every new player we get.

Just been on the T.V here, that Andy Carroll on his way back to England And not taking part in any of the games in New Zealand. They think its for a Transfer. Is he on the way back ?

I doubt hes coming to us. Surely we would do his medical in NZ since we are there already there.

£15m for a guy who's not managed a full season since we were in the championship will be a joke tbf

Didn't manage it then either.

David Icke - Son of God

I'll forever love Carroll for kicking the shite out of Steven Taylor. No price is too high to bring a genuine Geordie hero back to Tyneside.
