This feels like a good move for both parties. If Southampton still have a good academy then they probably have some hope of re-establishing themselves at some point in the next five years in the PL but if they don’t it’s going to require a very good manager and almost perfect transfer business

The RvN appointment made no sense whatsoever. At least Russell Martin knows what the Championship is, having won it recently. Great move, but we all know what's happening if he gets them up.
