I can see both viewpoints on Ange tbh. Their league form was wank this season. They lost far too many games. The level of performances weren't good enough. 

 

I do think people are glossing over the injury crisis they had. It was arguably worse than the one we had last season. Any team that loses their 2 best centre backs for most of the season, is gonna have a hard time. Still shouldn't be finishing 17th but it was clear to me towards end of season, he was totally focused on Europa League.

 

I wonder how Frank will perform if he gets the job. Would be intriguing for sure.

That’s true regarding injuries to a point, the counter argument would be despite the injuries he refused to change their high line, until that is he remembered how to be more pragmatic when they got to the latter stages of the EL

He still had enough of a first 11 to not finish 17th, and their form really didn't improve when the player's came back. I don't think the injuries excuse holds much water.

It wasn't just last seasons form either. The second half of his first year was also rubbish.
