2014 FIFA World Cup Brasil™ - Europe vs. America

It's a penalty but it's theatrical as f*** from Robben.

Get in Cannavaro, finally someone sticking up for defenders.

 he clearly exaggerated the contact but its a clear trip by Marquez. Anyway another close game as expected and once again i find myself feeling sorry for the loser.

Congrats to Holland for going through and a huge  to Mexico who like Chile have been tremendous value in this tournament.

Seriously, the pundits and commentators legitimising cheating. "Well, Robben had plenty of opportunities to go down previously...."

Fucking incredible.

STOP SAYING HE COULD HAVE GONE DOWN YOU THICK CUNTS.

Agree with this...he also had other opportunities to go over and he didn't.

Could have gone down man.

The game is saturated with not just vindication but a vocalised, unabashed, enthusiastic preference for outright cheating. It's sickening.

Not usually a massive fan of Robben but he's having a great world cup. Penalty was fair. Went down dramatically but you need to half the time or the ref won't give you anything. Watching the USA these past few weeks, players stay on their feet and don't get the ref's protection. Robben was fouled, twice in fact but he stayed on his feet for the first one, then made sure the ref saw it. I'm fine with that.

And then the media collectively scratches their head highlighting 'dives' and saying it's not on.

They're all the fucking same, man. They legitimise cheating then, in order to sell papers/increase viewership, make a massive noise about some incident which they then decide, when it fits their rhetoric, is clear cheating and unacceptable.

Oh, cool, gonna have a sing-song tomorrow.

ITV's coverage would be hilarious if they weren't getting paid loads to watch football all day and spout total, 100% bollocks.

It was a penalty like. Yes Robben dived too but if he didn't dive there isn't a hope in hell he is getting that penalty. He deserved a penalty (2 penalties actually) and he got a penalty, I don't see the problem
