Cronky
Physical fitness doesn't seem to be the main issue behind the fall-outs at NUFC and Hull. It's his attitude. He needs a psychiatrist more than a fitness coach.
Ronaldo
If anyone can accurately judge the fitness levels of an elite athlete it's Lee Ryder, like.

sbnufc
No offense mate, but you do come across as a bit of a prat with the whole HBA thing. You're quite happy to not only lap up what Lee Ryder says, but look for implication in what he says? Lee Ryder?...really? Lee Ryder? The initial quote wasnt from Lee Ryder, it's everywhere, plus they're quoting from L'Equipe in the first place. "L’Equipe report that Ben Arfa is in his native France working on his fitness". Shields Gazette. But never mind, it's saying negative things about the beloved Ben Arfa. No way is he overweight or unfit, nor has he ever been. It's all Pardew, not like there are fitness coaches, dietitians and other professionals are the club who indicated that he wasnt fit enough to the standard required/the rest of the squad. Interpolic
Pardew wouldn't let Ben Arfa near the team at various points when there was absolutely nothing wrong with his physical fitness over the course of a number of years. Aye, fitness is definitely why he forced him out of the club. No question.

That's nonsense though, you're just wanting more room to manoeuvre on a player that you seem to have it in for. His attitude is obviously bad, that's not really up for debate anymore, the point being that he wasn't unfit at all at the start of the season, anyone that watched him playing for the U21s at the start of the season would tell you that he was in good shape, anyone that watched him burst past 3 Liverpool players a few weeks ago would tell you that too. The overriding point is that, bad attitude or not, his talent and quality on the pitch is better than pretty much every other player that we have out there, never mind Yoan fucking Gouffran. So I dunno what point you're really trying to make beyond making insinuations about flat out lies or suggesting that we're better off playing inferior players because they tow the line with our absolute lying cunt of a manager? loki679
The fitness thing simply clouds the real issue which is that he appears to have made himself persona non grata at yet another club. This time after only a few months. Something's not right with him, that much is becoming clear. That's not to say Pardew handled him well, he didn't, but there must be something more than just Pardew in this that's making him continually fall out with managers and have to move clubs. He's no doubt difficult to manage. I don't think any one denies that. I don't think he's ever had a manager who wasn't a defensive bore and appreciated his talent though. Pardew probably did handle him well for most of the time here but either got sick of his pet lip or the squad did....I reckon it was probably the latter. There's giving a player special treatment on the pitch, making others work harder to support their flaws, but if that player needs special treatment for everything else, people will get sick of them, especially when it's not paying off on or off the pitch. The final nail in the coffin for him here though was to be made the poster boy by the fans for their unfortunately failed revolution against the club. They made the decision to get him out quite easy in the end. I don't think well ever know exactly what has gone on but hba might as well have taken a kitchen knife to his own hamstrings the way he's handled his career. I think he's totally done for top flight football now, he'll get one more chance somewhere (either at home or an average league like Turkey) and he'll blow that and that'll be it. Elliottman
I love the lad, I've not enjoyed watching a player more at our club I don't think. I wish he'd played every minute he was available. but I'm done making excuses for him. to go to a nothing club like hull and get thrown out of the squad , well... what else can you say. his career looks fucked at this point, we will see now if he's that bothered about turning it around. The College Dropout
Various reports he fell out with some of our senior players. Coloccini at the very least. Seems Demba and Yohan ran the rule on the French lads. Wonder if anyone is in that position now.
Guest firetotheworks
Coloccini can get fucked tbh, that prick ran off to Argentina and is comfortably the worst captain we've had after Michael Owen. Him having anything to say about HBA is a fucking joke.
